Waikiki Dream

Very spacious house for my family and grandchildren. Walking distance to the beach and fishing. Great secure backyard for the dogs.

The place was not clean at all. The kitchen items were all filthy, before we used anything we had to wash it. The bathroom was clean in some places and not others. The whole place needs a deep clean (or just any clean). There was also dog poo all over the backyard…

Location was perfect for walking to the beach and surfing. Size of house and layout was great for 2 families. We would definitely stay here again IF we knew it was cleaned properly.

Very disappointed with the cleanliness, we chose this house as it was meant to be covid cleaned. Every kitchen cupboard and drawer were dirty along with dirty appliances. Glass sliding doors had hand prints inside and out. Upon opening all the blinds, window ledges were covered in dead insects which is understandable when a house is untenanted for a period of time but you would think an inspection would occur before arrival of guests. Dining table and chairs were dirty with food spillages. There was sand on the couches and bed, as well as 2 dirty doona covers. All window tracks had mould as well as a bedroom cupboard. Used soap bars left in bathroom cupboards. Both upstairs and downstairs reverse cycle airconditioners were covered in dust and the filters were full and needed cleaning. There was no way you'd turn them on for hygiene reasons. (The downstairs airconditioner was cleaned the following day on ringing the host but the upstairs one wasn't). The BBQ grill was left dirty and some outdoor chairs need replacing as threadbare and unsafe. Two queen beds downstairs need replacing as were soft and sagging. The list is endless. We rang the hosts on arrival and they sent over a cleaner (whilst we waited outside) who spent an hour trying to get it up to scratch, but would have needed many more hours to do so. We then spent another 2 hours cleaning. Not a good start to our short getaway.
