Very clean, familiar

The owner was very helpful and kind and the services provided (breakfast, etc.) were very good. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well equipped.

Close to station, 5min walk to the old town, fridge in common area.

Modern, clean, very well maintained property just a couple of minutes from the train station and city center. Very pleasant breakfast with a personal touch. I appreciate being allowed late check-out so I could jump on a work call from the room.

I’ve stayed in Ambrosia Guesthouse several times over the past couple of years and have always been very happy with the experience, the owner is generally very nice and guest-oriented - all the more reason for the strong disappointment during my last visit. My room type was changed from double to single without warning, consent or any sort of communication prior to arrival - my reservation on booking.com continued to confirm the double room I had booked. As the property was fully booked and apparently all other guests had arrived before me, I was either stuck with the single room or could opt for a free cancellation and look for another hotel on the spot walking to another hotel in 30degrees heat (if at all available). I find this absolutely unacceptable and was truly disappointed with this last experience.
