The Hideaway

Overall, very impressed - the set up of the room, facilities and amenities were very good! It was very clean. The selection of hot drinks, milk, water, biscuits and also the make up remover and sanitary products provided were a really nice touch. We didn't have any issues with access - the instructions were very clear. Despite having no parking, we didn't end up spending a ridiculous amount on parking either. The location was decent - not too far to walk to the beach/seaside and the Creative Quarter in the town centre. We would stay here again! Folkestone in general was also a really nice surprise. We randomly booked to stay there as we were going to Dover castle and wanted to make a summer weekend away of it, and our favourite part of the weekend was actually the time we spent in Folkestone. The Creative Quarter (like a little high street with cafes, art galleries, independent shops etc.) and the seaside area was very nice and well kept. There were some great restaurants, bars and independent shops. I also loved how unique the old rail station area of the seaside is.

There's not too much to critique but it would be nice if there were some full length voile curtains in front of the french doors as the studio is on the ground floor, so that the main curtains can stay open whilst you're getting dressed etc. Some hooks in the bathroom would also be nice. Although we didn't have too much trouble with finding parking, it's worth noting that depending on where you park, you will probably have to get up early-ish every morning to move your car out of the permitted zones into a car park (but there's a big car park about one street over that is open for most of the day and evening).

Beliggenheten var sentral, med kort avstand til butikker og spisesteder. Pga ettervirkningene etter stormen Amy var stiene ned til stranden stengt, så jeg fikk litt lenger å gå dit, men det gikk greit.

Litt gulvkaldt, så enkle innesko eller tøfler er lurt på kaldere årstider.

Small but well turned out studio flat, close to station and within easy reach of the beach.
