Mattia's penthouse - view over Trastevere roofs

Everything about the apartment was great. The mattress, neighbourhood, air conditioning and hot water worked well. Photos in the listing are very accurate. The stairs were an effort - we can confirm 76 of them, both up and down. The day we arrived was the day the door lock seized, locking us out mid-day. Roberto’s arrival was as close to immediate as you could hope for. In spite of it being late afternoon on a Sunday, he was able to dismantle the mechanism, find the parts, and refit the door / frame to the new lock. How a host reacts when things go “off of the rails”, is an important consideration. Lastly, lots of great places to eat in the immediate area, and we walked everywhere from here, including the Borghese Gallery and train station. Very doable if you have the inclination & good shoes. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at this beautiful property was everything we could've hoped for. Our host was helpful and attentive- always accessible through WhatsApp (and even helped us secure transfer from the airport). Sent us amazing recommendations from the area which helped us get our short trip off to an incredible start. The apartment is exactly as pictured (but even cuter!), the bed is comfy, the air conditioning is AMAZING, and everything is SO CLEAN! Seriously, my number one concern with accommodations is that they are clean, and Mattia's place was SPOTLESS. I even lint roll the bedding everywhere I stay, and there were no crumbs, hair or dirt of any kind. Trastevere is a foodie's dream... so many places to enjoy a delicious meal, and Rome is INCREDIBLE. From this apartment, all you might wish to see is perfectly accessible by walking. You won't find a better host or location!!!

My daughter and I have ZERO complaints about this trip. Everything was perfect and we loved our stay! The apartment is on the top floor, which is no problem, but keep in mind that you will have some stairs to climb with your luggage upon arrival & departure.

It's advertised as a one bedroom apartment. It is not. It's a studio flat. It's advertised as having One queen bed and one full bed in the bedroom. One sofa bed in the living room. It has only a queen bed and sofa bed, in the living room. There is no bedroom. That aside, my family enjoyed the location and stay and Roberto was very helpful in providing places to eat locally
