Nice location. Property needs a lot of TLC!!!

Location was great. Rooms were very generous in size.

Main bed was very uncomfortable. Shower didn’t supply anything like sufficient water - and had been that way for some time judging by the previous comments in the guest book. Didn’t get a linen/towel change despite staying for 12 nights! Intermittent hot water supply! Outside garden areas were very unkempt!

Really had everything you ask for in the apartment and quiet. Easy access to beach town restaurants and transport.

Comfortable excellent location

Shower had very poor pressure and took a long time to run hot. Rugs on carpet kept moving and it seemed a hazard.

Great location and very clean comfortable beds

It was just as advertised I would like to suggest that the heating should be re set The thermostat was set too high 24 degrees for energy efficiency it’s suggested 18 to 19 degrees I did not touch CH controls but turned radiators down to make our stay more comfortable

I really liked the place. It was quiet and cosy, but near the shops, beach and the station

Using the key box was easy, but I did have to confirm with Torquil the keycode as the one he gave me (the correct one) was different from the one you at Booking.com gave me. Torquil was a really nice host and immediately responded when I had a question. I would definitely return to Whitehaven again.

The only issue perhaps was the final step down to the shower room, off the main stairs - as I was with my mum who is in her 80s - but after getting used to it, it was no problem

A lovely place to stay in North Berwick

We stayed here as we were visiting Edinburgh for the rugby, and it had everything that we needed. The apartment is spotlessly clean and welcoming, and the beds are very comfortable. North Berwick is such a beautiful place, and the house is ideally situated, next to the golf course and in between the high street and the train station. A great place to stay.

Lovely location and apartment with great potential, slightly marred by lack of attention to detail

Fantastic location and spacious lounge, kitchen and main bedroom. Well equipped, with a few missing items that would have greatly improved our experience. Easy to park.

Cleanliness, particularly in kitchen was not top notch. Work surfaces were sticky, microwave had obviously been used, kitchen drainer was rusty. The place was missing little touches like tea cosy, toothbrush holder, adequate space for food storage. The bathroom and loos need an upgrade and the two toilets were both very small for a 6ft + person like my husband. There was no heated towel rail for towels and the bathroom radiator was inadequate. Several light bulbs had blown. There were things stuffed under the beds and in cupboards that should have been removed, like spare carpet, and bits of cupboard. The pillows were hard and mine had feather ends poking through. The central heating and hot water systems could not cope with the cold weather we experienced in the first couple of days of our stay. I could go on! It generally felt like a place that the owner had not lived in for a while, and thus hadn't picked up on. Not value for money, given all these issues.

Stress free time, lovely stay in a great location.

Lovely property, clean and tidy and a superb location. Much better than expected. Hosts thought if everything for a lovely stay, even down to toiletries and coffee/tea kit. Had a great and stress free holiday. Thank you.. would stay again without question.

Location was excellent, very central and close to beach. No problem with parking. Great coffee shop across the road.

Communication with host was very poor. No code supplied for entrance and how to gain access. Emailed host prior to departure and got no response. It wasn’t easy contacting booking.com due to long wait to speak with someone.

The location was perfect. Just round the corner to the beach and the main street Attention to detail and everything was catered for So comfortable and homely

Good location

Excellent location for town and beach. Good size rooms apart from bathroom facilities. Kitchen well equipped, good bedding and towels. We were fortunate to find parking space nearby, may be difficult in the summer.

Short stay at whitehaven

Apartment is in a great location, within walking distance of shops, cafés and restaurants and a lovely beach. The apartment is very spacious, clean, and has everything you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return!

The bathroom area was very cold, and the TV was very difficult to work (we kept getting a message saying no signal). An outside light would be useful as it is very difficult to see outside door when dark.
