About this house rental
The property is in a Conservation area and used to be a stable. It was modernised into a superb dwelling facing the sea on 2 floors 15 years ago with half an acre of gardens and a heated pool all facing the sea, on a cliff in Torquay.
There is a barbecue at disposition.
The property is 10 minutes walk to the beach and 15 to 20 minutes walk to the harbour and the high street.
The carer lives downstairs and doesn’t t share any of the kitchen or living room or garden pool area with the guests and uses a different entrance.
There are cats on the premises.
Cats live on the property and can be seen occasionally.

We had a wonderful relaxing holiday in this beautiful house, surrounded by lovely gardens and views of the bay. We took full advantage of the heated pool and the easy 10 minute walk to the beach. It was perfect for a chilled out family holiday - a comfortable home and welcoming, generous hosts. Absolutely recommended!

The pool was a massive hit! The hosts took care of heating it cleaned and readied every day and packed it away at night. Be a little careful with feet as it's a sturdy, classic pool with concrete flooring so either use water sport/waterproof clean footwear or just be mindful of scraping your feet too much on the floor, but you won't regret taking a dip!
The place is within walking distance of meadfood beach (had great creamy ice cream there!) and we also walked down to the harbour. The views of these places from the house are stunning.
The home is a lived in place, sentimental and cultural items dotted all around the home and features lots of family photos too that give it a real staying-with-friends feel if you like that sort of vibe. There are plenty of towels and believe me, we used them(!) and even shampoo/body wash if needed.
Supermarkets aren't too far and can deliver if you want to have that sorted rather than worrying about packing or bringing too much food with you.
Miriyam is incredibly friendly and fun and was happy to help out in any way- the kids loved her!
We've never visited Torquay before and I'm so pleased this was our introduction 😁

Myriam’s wonderful home offers tranquility, beautiful views and the perfect place to relax…..come rain or shine
Myriam resides with her family on-site at lower level but you do feel as if you have the whole home to yourselves.
The property is beautifully decorated, well equipped and surrounded by lovely gardens and views…..with a hint of a Mediterranean feel.
We were able to make use of the pool on the few sunny days we had which was great
You must like cats ….as the families pets do like to make themselves at home with you
Overall I would recommend this place for a peaceful time away

We enjoyed a lovely stay in this fantastic location. The kids loved the heated pool and we enjoyed the views. The house was very clean and well equipped. The hosts, Myriam & Graham were very friendly and on hand for any questions and advice about the area.
