Wonderful to experience a home stay with such beautiful views! The room was comfortable, the balcony had a great view, and the people were incredibly lovely!

I chose this place near Ella because it specifically said the upper floors were accessed by elevator. This was not correct. Like most places around Ella, this place was three storeys high and the only access was by stairs. As I have limited mobility, this was a challenge for me. The hosts carried my luggage up and arranged a table outside my room for meals, so I did not have to move up and down the steep stairs more than necessary. The room was clean and the bathroom was modern, but the water was not hot. The food was plentiful and good, and the staff were helpful. There was secure off street parking. The location, on the Waterfall Road in Kithelella was better than staying in noisy, crowded Ella, but you need a car. There was only one restaurant nearby if you wanted to eat somewhere other than the hotel. Despite the comment from the owner, the booking.com website still says that the upper floors are accessible by elevator. This needs to be deleted from the listing.

The furniture is all handmade from natural logs. The bed is very high off the floor and was quite hard. The room was too small for the bed. All the furniture was made for a much taller person. There were no chairs with backs, only tall stools on the balcony. There are a large number of accommodation choices along this road. Those closer to Ella have beautiful views of Ella Gap, but further along, as this one was, the mountain views are not as good.
