Founders Lane Apartments by Urban Rest

Modern, very clean & nicely presented. Large main bedroom. Good kitchen with some pantry items included, salt & pepper, coffee pods, glad wrap etc, needs a few more items ie bread knife, salad bowls. Instructions for using stove would be good. Good heating. Close to main attractions, restaurants & supermarkets, Canberra Central Shopping Centre.

Finding car space and key number system for getting in & out of building and apartment. Why not use the card swipe used for lift to get into apartment? We requested high floor 1 bedroom with balcony as we were there for 9 nights, ended up on ground floor - we were obviously upgraded to a 2 bedroom but still on ground floor. Appreciative for this. No safety rails in shower.

It was very clean, modern, very comfortable beds and it had everything we needed, once we found the kettle/ coffee machine in the extra cupboard next to washing machine, they even put milk in fridge, lovely touch.

No complaints, it was perfect.

Location

Having to produce biometric identification to access the property- this is in the fine print . We were sent a link to their site so we could complete check in. This included uploading a photo and drivers licence.We objected to this multiple times and even contacted bookings for assistance- but no avail- we were forced to go ahead with the booking as the free cancellation period passed. We also requested for a manger to contact us to discuss multiple time- no one called. I find this a gross intrusion on privacy & would never ever stay at a property that requires biometrics etc again. The apartment is nice and centrally located- but as it’s ground floor and backs on to a laneways- it can be rather noisey.
