Location and views were nice.

I recently stayed at Crystal Sands 108B and, unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The pictures online give the impression of a bright, clean, and well-maintained condo, but the reality was far from that. Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the unit had not been properly cleaned. The floors were dirty, surfaces had dust and residue, and the overall condition of the space felt neglected. The furniture and fixtures were worn and dated, nothing like what the photos suggested. Even small details, such as the bedding and upholstery, had stains and were dirty. Rather than feeling like a relaxing beach retreat, the condo gave off the impression of being poorly cared for and in need of a thorough deep clean and refresh. We left early due to the conditions being so poor. It was frustrating to discover such a stark difference between the listing and the actual condition of the unit. For the price, I expected a comfortable and accurately represented stay, but this was not delivered. Until management addresses these issues, I would strongly caution future guests against booking this property.

Beautiful views in a clean low key area.

The location was perfect- just a few steps to the beach , and great view from the balcony. I also loved that we had the use of the beach chairs.

The unit is in a premium location, offered at a premium price, but the quality was lacking in every respect.

The location

The unit was NOT as pictured in the booking photo. Absolutely no resemblance to pics posted. The unit we got was very outdated. The unit had an old tub & the shower curtain was not clean (mold). It didn’t appear the air filter had been recently changed in quite some time & it may be the unit had a musty smell overall. The beds were very uncomfortable. The screen door leading out to balcony was broken, detached & leaning off the side. The woodwork appeared cracked/rot/moldy. The drapes appeared dirty. The walls needed to be painted. The bathroom vanity appeared to have heavy water damage. When we book a unit, we have to be able to rely on pics that are not deceptive.

Need to be updated but perfect location. Not the same pictures on booking.com as the actual condo. Also my 2 year old found a very dangerous pill on floor, upon arrival. Staff acted like it was no big deal.

Amazing views and easy beach access make this a great stay.

Pros: Great location and the beach access is amazing. The rental had (mostly) everything needed for a short family vacation. Loved that it had a washer and dryer in the unit. I had some cons below more related to housekeeping, but despite that, my family and I (two boys under 10, myself and husband) said “see you later” to this rental. Hoping to come back next spring break! Cons: There was not enough toilet paper for our 4 night stay, which when you’re paying this price for a rental, I would expect to not need to run to Walmart for my own TP. We also were only given one additional trash bag for a 4 night stay, so additional garbage bags had to be purchased so we could clean up after ourselves.

Not a 3 bedroom! Gross Stains

The location was wonderful, the views spectacular. I liked that the condo had an upstairs loft and a second bathroom with shower.

First it was not a 3 bedroom as listed, it was a 1 bedroom with a loft. The Blow dryer in master started smoking on first use and the lid to toilet wasn't even attached.The towel rod fell out of wall first day. Tooth brush holder upstairs is coming out of the wall & Floor vent upstairs is a HUGE safety hazard. There was what appeared to be blood on the pull-out sofa sleeper mattress so of course nobody wanted to sleep there. The couches are horribly stained. We covered them with sheets and 2 teens had to slept there.

Great little place for a long weekend getaway.

We loved the location, right on the beach, and a smaller condo grouping meant a less crowded beach. It was convenient to shopping and restaurants. We loved the community surrounding this unit and would gladly come back again.

Our only complaint is that the pull out sleeper sofa was kind of broken down on one corner and made it a little hard to sleep in due to the fact the mattress ran downhill to that corner. Otherwise, we have no complaints.

The unit was beautifully appointed and equipped with all the amenities that make for a wonderful and exciting stay. We live 30 minutes away, but used to live down a bit on Scenic Gulf Drive. Just wanted to visit the area.

Unfortunately, I understand, we were the first visitors to stay at this unit since its complete remodel. It was ill-prepared for visitors. There were no instructions for how to watch the TVs. We had to get the on-site VACASA representative to show us the nuances. Like you must start the TV with the TV remote first and then use the cable company remote to navigate the programming. Then, to do both, you have to know to point the remote directly at the small box on the wall just below the TV. The coffee maker appears to be very nice, but instructions for its use need to be posted, or placed in a nearby drawer. We could not figure it out. All your visitors will not be savvy to modern conveniences, but may be seniors like us that live fairly uncomplicated lives. In the shower, there is a suction cup, grab handle. This type grab bar is not compliant with the American Disability Act. The packaging for the grab bar should have included that warning. I only mention that to alert you to possible liability should one of your visitors think they can grab it should they experience a fall in the shower. Similarly, the sliding glass door sill out to the balcony, is unusually high. We tripped on it a bit the first time out. Maybe a “Watch your Step” sticker on the doors. Also, we requested early check-in but were denied. Not sure why. On arrival, it smelled a bit musty as though no one had stayed there recently.

Roomy enough for 2 people. Plenty of bath towels.. having 2 bathrooms & washer & dryer was great. The corner unit let in alot of light. The balcony was great for the sunrises & sunsets.

An extra blanket, extra dishtowels and a rug by the front door would have been nice. Also the king bed mattress needs to be replaced - there seems to be a gulley in the middle.

This unit has a great beach location and view but badly needs updating and new furniture.

The location on the beach was wonderful and so convenient. The view from the balcony was amazing. This location was so close to restaurants and shopping. We did get quick service from maintenance to replace a few light bulbs and to replace a moldy shower curtain.

The unit is old and worn out. It was nice that they tried to update some things like the countertops, toilets and door knobs. But other things were old and rusty like the door hinges. The furniture is old and the couch had unusual stains on it.

It was a relaxing trip for us, but too expensive when all of the fees got added.

We were not provided breakfast. The beach was beautiful, but a little more crowded than we expected. We did not realize there were so many homes across the street.

The bed in the room could have been a little more comfortable. We were told that Vacasa staff would be in office but never saw anyone there. We were able to get a response via email. Someone from Vacasa delivered us a new coffee pot which was really great.

Roaches, roaches, roaches everywhere, dirty floors, rooted wood in the 1st floor bathroom, nasty carpet upstairs, broken floor vent upstairs that is a safety hazard, kitchen was not stocked as it should have been (only 3 forks, 3 spoons, pots and pans were disgusting, they were rusty and dirty, no baking wear such as a 9X13 pan) I ended up going and buying cheap silverware, a griddle, and disposable pans.
