Very nice guest house. I was the only one there so I had the whole house to myself! Bed was comfortable and common areas really nice. There was everything you could need. Free bicycles were a great way to explore the town. Suggestions for restaurants and such were written on a board. Even though I was alone, I could read other peoples experiences from their guest books and see where previous guests were from from a map on a wall. It gave a nice warm feeling to the place. Great stay, even though being alone in a big house made my imagination go wild and I got a bit scared of ghosts lol. No phantoms were detected though, which was a plus.

I was a solo traveller that came from Amanohashidate and Ine. I was the only guest at the time and I had the whole hostel to myself. I only stayed for 1 night but I wish I stayed longer. It was a traditional house but complete with modern furniture for convenience. There's a very cute and charming porch and the view from the tatami room is really nice while reading manga. Towels are free and you can use them for the bath house just 5 minutes away. There were also free bike rentals that I used to explore the nearby shrines, park, museum, cafes and a nice port inlet nearby.

It was very dark at night outside the hostel. Since I was the only guest in an unmanned hostel, it can be quite creepy. But the ambiance in the house and around town when morning came was really lovely and worth it.

I was looking for a great location, peace and quiet. Perfect spring weather watching birds fly around. Climbing a local hill up to a temple. Enjoying quiet without business intense customers about. Couldn't have been happier.

Me? I loved everything. It wasn't an APA hotel. Everything I needed I had. I've been travelling for 12 years and this was much better than anything I expected. I've become jaded but this was great.

It clean and the kitchen and the lounge is nice, one could rent a bicycle for free

I hate that there is no living person around to check you in and help with possible questions or other help you might need. The English information material is very poor.
