About this bed and breakfast
Our worry free luxury cottage is our second dwelling on our main resident property and therefore is risk free of unexpected cancellations.
Here at the Sailors’ Rest our goal is to give our guests an experience to remember and tell their friends. This project and final product is a culmination of the artistic designs of one of the hosts that took a 2-car unfinished garage and repurposed it into what you see, using the Naval decor from your other host’s personal and family history of their father and his own service as Commanders in the Royal Canadian Navy. You will see various paraphernalia, pictures of Naval tradition and history throughout. While you are here don’t forget to sign the log book and tell us about your stay.
As our pampered guest you will have the luxury of being in your own private space, well equipped to fully enjoy your island getaway, private event, or celebration. The Sailors’ Rest is fitted with a nautical inspired fence, to give your crew and possibly furry friends, additional privacy. You will also have access to the gazebo and surrounding gardens and putting green through your garden gate. Please note that your furry companions will not have access to this shared space without you in attendance. If you are looking for someone to look after your furry friend for a period of your stay, we can connect you to our trusted pet sitting provider.
As your hosts, Mich and Michael, we are pleased to have you drop your anchor and spend some time sharing our little oasis. While we appreciate you choosing the Sailors’ Rest as your vacation destination unfortunately we will not always be on location. As ships pass we will wave hello and wish you an amazing stay. Of course if there is something you need please send us a message, we suggest using an app rather than a bottle;)
We are not a waterfront or water-view property, though we are only a few minutes walk down to the ocean. We are also right next to an off-leash dog park, tennis courts (we have rackets and balls for you to use), pickle ball courts, and kids play area. If you are bringing your bikes or running shoes there are lots of trails to explore near by. We also offer a putting green for you to use if you are interested in hitting a few balls and practicing your swing.

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was very clean and well-maintained, the host responded quickly to any questions, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals

The accomodation was very clean and had everything you would need. The hot tub was full of leaf litter and so was the trampoline but the kids were expected to take off their shoes. After coming back in after 2 mins with slivers they didnt use it again. The owners also had dogs running around barking at us which was obviously a big deterrent for using the fire pit or play area. Both of my kids were quite disappointed. If you don't plan on using those amenities the rest of the place was great.
