You need to know it is the 5th floor walkup in a non-sprinklered building.

The location and build of the apartment.

The owner misrepresented the unit. It is five flights up on a steep small staircase. There is no means of exit in the event of a fire in the hall. And I believe that the unit is truly dangerous. The street facing window in the living room has been blocked from opening completely. It's just unsafe. Booking required us to pay in advance with no cancellation. If the unit was correctly described, we and probably no one would rent. And, my wife has a heart condition and 80 steps for a 64 year old with a heart condition is offensive.

Good location but accommodation a bit basic, attention to detail could be better

The apartment is in a great location, right in the centre of Dieppe, but very quiet as it is on the top floor (note, 5th floor no lift as mentioned in other reviews, it's quite strenuous!). We loved the proximity to the Saturday market (you can look down on it from your window). If you're just looking for a quick stopover or are exploring/going out a lot then it may suit you, we found it not so homely for a longer stay. Parking can be slightly tricky but is free on the seafront 5-8 mins walk where you can normally find a place depending on the time of day/events and if you drive round a bit.

We found it all a bit basic. We're not used to renting apartments through agencies and found the attention to detail was lacking. In the kitchen: the refridgerator doesn't have a freezer, very disappointing as we like to cook a lot and make iced drinks. Generally, the furniture and fixtures look a bit tired - the sofa wasn't so comfortable and the furniture all felt a bit low quality, the apartment felt a bit 'empty'. Bathroom OK but shower sometimes ran out of hot water after just one shower - not sure if this is only an occasional problem. Cleanliness-wise we found hairs on the floor around the toilet, the bed was made but quite crumpled when we arrived and we found food crumbs (not ours!) on the mattress when we stripped the bed at the end of our stay. The printed guest info in the apartment is quite minimal and contains out of date/contradictory information (no recycling information, only bins, and said check-out is 12pm when the listing says 10am). Supplies in the apartment could be more thoughtful: we found a liquid soap dispenser in the bathroom which appeared to be only for decorative purposes as it was completely empty. I messaged the host about this who simply replied saying hand soap hadn't been included in the listing...I found this attitude a bit petty because it really should be common sense to supply your guests with some basic washing/cleaning items to help them keep good hygiene! We got a "welcome pack" on arrival but this was quite strange: a small brown paper bag on the table which just contained a washing up sponge, a brand new tea towel, 1 toilet roll, a miniature washing up liquid and a sanitising hand gel. In addition, from an environmental point of view, this seems very wasteful - I would suggest that if the hosts want to supply guests with certain items they could use bigger bottles and refill them, as well as just supplying a fresh, washed towel, not a new one each time.

Pour un agréable séjour à Dieppe

Appartement très sympa, plein centre ville, vue plongeante sur la rue principale, la cathédrale, très bien insonorisé, propre et confortable. Chambre séparée, salon sam et cuisine ouverte bien aménagés, lumineux...

Peut-être les 5 étages à monter...quoique ça nous a permis de faire un peu de sport et de voir l'environnement de...haut !

Wir werden nicht nochmals buchen

Lage in der Fußgängerzone , besonders am Samstag, wenn Markt ist = gut. Deko der Wohnung war gut durchdacht. Ausstattung nur relativ gut und relativ sauber. Allerdings können wir die vielen positiven Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen….

Die 5. Etage ohne Fahrstuhl/Lift. Wird mit keinem Wort im Angebot erwähnt, man sieht es nur in der Adressenangabe. Steile, enge Wendeltreppe. Schmutziges Treppenhaus . Nach Einkauf, bei der Ankunft mit Koffern, anschließend 5 Etagen hinaufzusteigen ist sehr anstrengend und beschwerlich. Die Matratze im Bett müsste dringend ausgewechselt werden. Bequemlichkeit der Couch lässt ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig. Handtücher und Bettwäsche riechen nicht wie frisch gewaschen. Lauter Heißwasserboiler . Kurzum: wir haben uns nicht sonderlich wohlgefühlt und sind daher vorzeitig abgereist.

Emplacement au top

Emplacement au top, vue sur les toits de Dieppe et sur l'église. On se sent comme à la maison, la déco est vraiment très jolie. Le marché le samedi juste en bas de l'appartement et la plage est à quelques minutes de marche, idéal pour des balades sur la plage et pour voir les couchers de soleil.

Ayant des problèmes de dos j'ai trouvé le lit pas très confortable.
