La Villa Augustine

Another repeat visit to this lovely place. Absolutely wonderful, characterful room. It's incredibly spacious and comfortable. Colin is a fantastic host, super helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Our host, Colin, was very helpful and hospitable. The decor was lovely and we appreciated that so many things were well thought out in the accommodation. There were tea towels, kitchen towels, toilet roll, handwash, tea and coffee as well as apple juice in the fridge and delicious caramel apple preserve. There was also a book with recommendations for local shops, restaurants and places of interest. The shower room was lovely and we enjoyed having breakfast and coffee in the courtyard/garden. The location was very good, close to station and town centre and not too far to the beach. We enjoyed our stay.

We found the mezzanine bedroom tricky to use as was accessed via a step ladder. Once up the ladder the ceiling was too low to stand up. We ended up using the pull out sofa downstairs as toilet was downstairs.

Very charming decor and friendly host, who communicated well, helped us carry our luggage upstairs, and gave us some recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in town. Comfortable bed and a small kitchenette would be great for a longer stay.

Colin was an excellent host, very friendly and offering us great advice on restaurants, local specialties and his local bakery just around the corner! He helped with our luggage on both arrival and departure which was much appreciated. We stayed in the Celestine Room which was very clean, comfortable, well-decorated and appointed.
