The Bell Tower

Location , the set Up inside the apartment was amazing.

Tv didn’t work, but didn’t have time to sit and watch.

A really lovely little flat just across the bridge, making it wonderfully central without being right in the middle of the busy bits. Everything was within walking distance, and there’s a Tesco just around the back as well, which was ideal for groceries and bits and bobs during the week. The flat itself is very well maintained and thoughtfully equipped. There’s a beautiful little reading nook with lovely views, which quickly became one of my favourite spots in the flat. Everything you might need for a longer stay is provided too; linens, towels, washing-up liquid, laundry pods, dishwasher tablets, and so on... Which made things feel very easy and comfortable. After a busy week in Edinburgh, it was honestly wonderful to slow down a bit and enjoy the quieter pace of Inverness. The flat itself is beautifully decorated and styled as well, very cosy without feeling cluttered. I especially want to compliment both the hosts and their cleaning company for how they handled a couple of issues at the start of our stay. On arrival, the flat unfortunately hadn’t been cleaned yet due to delays earlier in the day. Then, when the cleaners did come by later, some of our food and drinks were accidentally thrown out (I do understand and appreciate the idea behind making sure every guest arrives to a completely clean apartment without half-eaten food left in the fridge. Unfortunately, considering the food that was thrown out was actually ours, it was a bit of a bummer at the time.). However, both situations were resolved incredibly quickly and kindly. We received a lovely welcome gift to make up for it, and everything that had been tossed was replaced without any fuss at all. So genuinely, don’t be afraid to reach out if something comes up; they clearly care about making things right and making sure guests have a good stay. Overall, a hard recommend: beautiful flat, excellent service, and a really lovely base for exploring Inverness and the Highlands.

The only real issue we had was the Wi-Fi in the evenings. During the day it worked perfectly fine, but at night the bandwidth just didn’t seem able to cope very well. Streaming things like BBC iPlayer, Channel 4, or Netflix often involved quite a bit of buffering and waiting around. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but worth mentioning.

Amazing location, overlooking the river and very close to lots of restaurants. The heating worked well and there was a very warm welcome in the form of tea bags/ crisps etc. Close to the railway station.

We didn't realise that the bathroom was on a different floor from the bedrooms, and that the spiral staircase is really noisy! This made it impossible to sneak to the loo in the night. The bedrooms only have Velux type windows, so you can't open them if it's likely to rain, which would make the rooms very stuffy in the summer (fan are provided). One window was missing the pole to move the blind- and we weren't sure if that one worked. (reported to management)

Location was perfect. Main living area and bedrooms were very comfortable and were exactly what we needed.

The bathroom was really not great and is in need of maintenance. The toilet seat was broken. The bathroom was mouldy and had a strong smell of damp. The full room looked like it needed a good deep clean.
