Tritone LUXURY HOTEL THERMAE & SPA

Although we didn’t meet the hotel’s General Manager, Walter, in person, we did try the gin at Walter’s Bar. Whilst it wasn’t to our taste, the fact that such a product had been prepared and offered for sale to guests stuck in our minds as an original idea. There are some members of staff at your hotel whom we would like to thank by name. They are: From the restaurant: Mr Marco from Naples (who became our favourite member of staff thanks to his constant smile and helpfulness) From reception: Ms Eliana and Ms Aourara Sommelier: Mr Mirco Housekeeper: Ms. Anna Barman: Mr. Nicholas With the Carpe Diem newspaper, published daily, we have made it possible for guests to keep up to date with the day’s events, activities at the hotel, the chef’s recommendations and local information, with options in Italian, English, German and French. We really loved the fact that the hotel’s cuisine offered a rich, healthy and delicious variety to suit everyone’s tastes, and that the buffet concept was limited to snacks, fruit and desserts, whilst starters and main courses were available to choose from the menu. We were delighted that the gym was equipped with the very latest machines, which are both functional and safe to use. We really appreciated the fact that the hotel offered its guests the chance to use bicycles free of charge so they could explore the surrounding area. Although there were many staff members working at the hotel, we were very pleased that there was no one loitering about or holding up their work by chatting amongst themselves. We appreciated the helpful attitude of the hotel staff, who responded appropriately to all our reasonable requests (rather than turning them down) and endeavoured to find solutions. We appreciated that the rooms, the gym and other communal areas were clean, well-maintained and beautifully decorated. We really loved the fact that the toilets had bidets instead of tap heads and that there was a bidet spray.

Although Venice’s Marco Polo Airport—the nearest airport to the hotel—is about an hour’s drive away, I didn’t like the fact that the only comfortable way to get to the hotel was by taxi, as the hotel didn’t provide its own transfer service. We really didn’t like the fact that the HDMI option on the televisions in the rooms had been removed and that they reset themselves every time they were switched off and on. As for Stephanie, who greeted us in the breakfast room each morning and handed out our daily newspapers, we didn’t like her harsh manner and uncooperative attitude. As for Lucca, who sorted out our bill when we checked out, although he did his best, we had to pay an extra waiting charge to the taxi driver because he caused us to leave the hotel 25 minutes late.
