Hastings Retreat Rural barn conversions with Private Lake

Very good communication with the hosts before and during our stay. Lots of useful information sent before we arrived too which was good. Milk, tea, coffee, chocolates, etc. were a welcome touch. The barns are tastefully decorated to a high standard and are well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub and a walk down to the lake. Lovely location and easy to find within easy driving distance of Ashby which is nice for a wander around the shops and good cafés, pubs and restaurants. Perfect for our school reunion and we enjoyed it so much we're hoping to book again for next year. Thanks to Dawn and John.

The small single beds ( this is stated in the listing) in the smaller barn were quite narrow but everything else was great!

Peaceful, clean, facilities good. Staff great. Private lake was lovely. Lots of wildlife. Ideal location for visiting our family.

The bed was a bit small for us.

The property was perfect for our family and in a beautiful setting. The beds were so comfortable and it was nice and cool inside despite the very hot weather. The lake was really lovely too.

Unfortunately, we were woken a couple of times by the people next door. However, I did notice a card that said to call if there were any problems with noise so we could have chosen to do this. It didn’t take much away from the place as a whole.

What a gorgeous little patch of heaven this property is! We had a large girl group take over two houses for a 60th birthday celebration and the wonderful host was able to put us next door to each other and with a gorgeous hot tub & view. This was an exceptional weekend with the hosts ensuring we had absolutely everything we needed to be comfortable. We had planned to go out on one of the afternoons/ evenings, but the place was so perfect and idyllic we didn't leave for two days. We 1000% would reccomend this for a friend getaway and would absolutely love to stay here again soon!

Literally no faults whatsoever! Gorgeous stay worth every penny and more! Thank you so much Dawn for making it so wonderful for our Mum's birthday celebration, we will never forget this weekend it was amazing!
