location staff rooftop pool and amazing food

Bed was hard

Very good location with great rooftop views, excellent service and very good breakfast. The rooftop with pool is a great chill-out space with delicious cocktails served.

If you stay on the 3rd floor the sound insulation between bar and bedroom is not the best. Great location but not direct access to entrance which can be tricky to find on your arrival.

My stay was pleasant. The hotel has only a few rooms, which makes it very calm and quiet. It is located in a very central area, right next to Forodhani Gardens Night Market, a famous open-air street food market in Stone Town. Parking is about a 3-minute walk from the hotel, so you need to carry your luggage on foot, but the driver or hotel staff are always happy to help. I stayed in the room with a bathtub. The rooms are not very large, but they are comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast is à la carte, well served and good, at the well-known The 5th Restaurant. I also had lunch there and the food was good. At the end of the day, you can enjoy the sunset from the rooftop, which has a swimming pool, sea views and a bar — I made good use of it on my last day. The staff are friendly, helpful and everything was clean. You can easily walk around the entire Stone Town area. There is also a small boutique with lovely, good-quality items.

The main downside is being next to a mosque — the call to prayer at 5 a.m. feels like it is inside the room.

No good value for money, tiny rooms, shower and toilet on the same floor. When showering water does not immediately drain. When leaving we had no staff to assist us with carrying of the bags
