Lissanisky House

Beautiful period house close to Nenagh. Obviously lovingly cared for and restored by the owners (who live on the second floor). Lovely hallway and sitting room. Appears to be 4 large bedrooms with en suite on first floor. Owners/staff (cleaner) very unobtrusive. You order breakfast the evening before and it is delivered to your door at your requested time (it is left outside door and they knock on door, so no intrusion into your space!). We arrived early as going to a wedding and were allowed to our room to change. Breakfast excellent - had a 'full Irish' with fresh fruit salad, orange juice and tea. Minor quibble is no marmalade with the breakfast and no-one to ask for it - but that is very minor. We met the owners (ian and Orla) only in passing - very friendly but very unobtrusive. It is a great location for Nenagh / Loch Derg. We were going to a wedding in Ashley Park House, and most guests were staying at a bigger hotel in Nenagh - but all were very jealous when we chatted the next day and realised that they were staying in a 'not so great' hotel and we stayed in a lovely house! Very little! Perhaps tea leaves in a teapot (rather than tea bag) and marmalade with the breakfast - but these are VERY minor quibbles as otherwise all superb!

An incredible setting with a very warm, friendly welcome by the host Ian. We only stayed one night but it felt like longer in the best way possible. The opulence of the residence and location transported both myself and fiance into a different time and place that facilitated a beautiful rest. We were greeted with the most wonderful breakfast in the morning and had the freedom to relax in a very grand and relaxing drawing room with the best music while Ian graciously served us coffee in the finest of ware and gifted us with a lovely chat. He was a very warm, non intrusive and attentive host that really complimented the grandeur and beauty of the house and setting. We will be back!!!

The house is immaculately kept. Curated details throughout. Very grand and calming.

We loved that it was almost a stately home. Beautiful countryside. Great hosts , wonderful breakfast. Saw a buzzard from our bedroom window and rabbits on the lawn.
