About this house rental

This two-room studio suite is located on the top floor of a traditional Kitsilano home and accessed via a private keypad entrance. The house is located 5 blocks from the beach, within walking distance to all amenities, easy access to downtown, and the University of British Columbia. Tennis courts and a park are located across the street. The suite consists of a large bright bedroom, sitting area, bathroom and shower, breakfast/coffee bar, and large deck overlooking the garden. The bedroom consists of one king-size bed. Free street parking is widely available. The suite is suitable for either a single person or a couple.

Stayed for 6 nights to attend granddaughter’s graduation! Extremely clean and the Perfect location with easy access to stores, restaurants, park and beach! Especially enjoyed the lovely deck and landscaping! Also, Nancy was very accommodating to a surprise guest!

Great place to stay, but just a few thoughts to help others plan. While the shower is in bedroom, there are doors where needed for any desired privacy so no worries on that front. The laundry requires going outside the unit and is shared, but otherwise worked. well well for us.

Great location. Very convenient and ample parking. Beautiful suite, clean, tidy and very thoughtfully furnished. definitely 4.5 out of 5. A sink in the kitchenette, and our stay would have been perfect. The suite was extremely private - we really enjoyed our stay. Nancy and Ran were great hosts.

A very well maintained property perfectly situated in the heart of Kitsilano

This is a very comfortable property with good amenities. Check-in was seamless and I was met by Nancy, the gracious owner, who warned me of some house maintenance to be sure it didn't affect my stay. There is a bedroom with a super king bed. The shower is large and functional but is in the bedroom itself with an adjacent powder room. At first I thought this odd but realized that the sloping ceiling of the room left no other option. No problem for a single traveller. The kitchen/sitting room is comfortable and well equipped. The only down-side is that there is no sink in the kitchen area so for a longer stay dirty dishes accumulate. Only 4 stars for the location reflects the plus/minus of the neighbourhood. Plus is that it is a quiet location near a park and grocery store. Minus because it is almost impossible to get a nearby Evo car because it is a quiet family neighbourhood.

The flat in Kitsilano was ideal for our week's stay in Vancouver. It had everything we needed. The area was lovely and the situation very good - it was easy to get buses to the centre and onward and shops we needed were nearby. Thank you to our hosts!

Nancy’s place was perfect for a six night stay in Kits. Close to Jericho, many restaurants and some great shopping, we enjoyed the location immensely. Lots of nice touches in Nancy’s place including beach towels and the private roof deck was the cherry on top! Very clean and we enjoyed the bed.

A cozy space and great host. Would have loved to use the very inviting balcony but it was too cold. Our host, Nancy, was very friendly and thoughtfully welcomed us with a bottle of wine. The neighborhood was really walkable and highly recommend lunch at Castaway Pub and breakfast at the Corner Coffee cafe.

Great location, always parking on the street, close to many restaurants, coffee shops, et. Great big deck off bedroom and a smaller living/kitchen/office room attached to bedroom. We would definitely return, no regrets. Just be aware that toilet/sink is in small room and clear glass shower is located in bedroom - not a problem for us.

Wonderful neighborhood, very friendly hosts Nancy and her husband, parking no problem, nice bed and shower. A little hot during our stay, since we had up to 35 degrees, but the air conditioning and the fan made it bearable during the night. We will definitely come again.

This property is in a great neighbourhood, close to shops, restaurants and pubs and within walking distance of two scenic beaches. The unit itself is comfortable with a few minor quirks. The fridge isn’t quite cold enough to make ice, there is no sink to wash dishes and it was chilly in the night. (A portable heater is provided but it makes noise) The glass shower is open to the bedroom and the bathroom does not afford much privacy. This is only an issue for those who may prefer more privacy. It was quiet, quaint and the balcony was an added bonus. It is good value for the money.

My husband and I stayed in Kitsilano for a week while visiting our daughter who is a student at UBC. This cozy BnB provided just what we needed. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The Keurig, tea kettle, coffee pods, cream, and filtered water were much appreciated and made our mornings special. The bed is comfortable with a fluffy duvet and has a good mattress. The bathroom and shower were clean and met our needs well. We loved the location of this place and enjoyed its proximity to the beach and many wonderful Vancouver sites. Street parking is free and has no time limits. Our hosts were friendly and available if we needed anything which we didn’t because everything had been thought of! We plan to stay here again next time we come.

In planning my first time trip to Vancouver to visit my daughter I was attentive to prior reviews. Therefore, I must say that the reviews listed for Nancy and her place were quite encouraging and enticing for me to book a 10 day stay. Of course I am so glad that I did and would echo all of the positive reviews listed. (Of course now I am wary about the risk of not being able to book in the future due to popularity, but still, I must be honest.) For me, this was a home away from home. I loved the 2 rooms, the great books, the hot shower, the coffee nook. It was a great location in Kitsilano, close to beaches, UBC, and to food shopping/restaurants. Nancy was the perfect host: available, yet unobtrusive and of course able to predict potential needs. I thoroughly enjoyed trip #1 to Vancouver, in large part due to Nancy, and look forward to returning in the future.

Nancy's upstairs apartment in this beautiful neighborhood, was perfect for our needs which included settling our daughter at UBC and keeping up on work, while enjoying a long overdo get-a-way. We loved the expansive deck, and a lush garden provided an enchanting setting and privacy. The apartment is charming and well appointed with a comfortable desk and handy appliances, plenty of towels and other incidentals. The location made for wonderful walks to beaches, unique shops, grocery stores, fantastic coffee shops and bakeries. Looking forward to returning.
