The location and facilities were both warm and welcoming, as well as an easy walk the beach and surrounds

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the property was well below expectations. It was immediately clear that the space hadn’t been properly cleaned in quite some time. Surfaces throughout the house, particularly downstairs, were layered in dust, and I found dead insects along the kitchen windowsills and benchtop. The downstairs accommodation area was especially dusty, including on and under the furniture and standing fans. The space also had a strong, musty smell, likely due to a lack of ventilation. My daughter experienced persistent sneezing throughout our stay and required antihistamines due to the dust. We also noticed a significant number of daddy long-legs spiders throughout the bedrooms and common areas. The outdoor areas were similarly neglected—the deck was covered in fallen debris from a large tree, and the staircase leading to the viewing platform was overgrown with spiky plants, making it unsafe and unusable. Overall, the lack of upkeep affected the comfort and enjoyment of our stay.
