Cosy stay in La Loire

Coralie and Olivier are superb hosts. They gave us plenty of recommendations for food/drinks and attractions, all of which were excellent. The room and amenities were clean, cosy, and full of character. We also enjoyed meeting Tipsy, who knows which guests might be the ones convinced into giving her a piece of cheese. The hosts also speak great English

Good base for exploration of Loire valley

Secluded area and yet close proximity to big city such as Orleans and other smaller town..

Wonderful place and hosts, where we would gladly go again!

We loved our three days at Domaine Saint Hilaire! Coralie and Olivier have done a wonderful job renovating this property, something they continue to lovingly do ... you can tell this is their home, and you feel immediately welcomed into it. The three guest rooms are very tastefully decorated (we peeked into the other two) -- ours, on top, had a more modern Scandinavian motif (with an absolutely fantastic shower); one was more floral and one a bit more "bourgeois" ... but done as themes with taste. The property itself is lovely, dominated by a 170-year-old ginkgo tree that provides incredible shade even on the hottest days of the year. (It hit 34C when we were there.) The two love taking care of their garden, and will happily show you their progress on renovating the old mill in the back of the property. Coralie makes a new pastry each day for the breakfast, which also includes excellent baguettes and croissants, jams, cheeses, coffees and fresh fruit; she prides herself on searching out the best local suppliers. And finally, the location: immediately, nice as it's right on the mill stream; just a few hundred meters from the Loire (and a little guingette); and only a 1km walk into Meung-sur-Loire, with its chateau (residence of the Orleans bishops) and a few nice shops.

Only slight negative is that a few of the buildings in the surrounding neighborhood need to have Olivier and Coralie renovate them too.

This is a special place and we had a memorable stay thanks to attentive hosts.

This accommodation is set on beautiful landscaped grounds with old trees in a tranquil location. Coralie gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home immediately. The couple have an adorable dog. Our room was tastefully decorated and we had a peaceful night‘s sleep followed by an exceptional breakfast consisting of products from the region with thoughtful touches.

Beautiful and cozy b&b with the friendliest hosts

This is a lovely b&b in a beautiful village by the Loire. The breakfast was delicious with many local products, the room was spatious and spotless and the whole house beautifully decorated. The host was the friendliest person and instantly made us feel like home, and gave us great tips for restaurants!

Perfection in every detail

Fantastic welcome on arrival and the host was very warm and helpful. The property is perfect and to an excellent standard of furnishing. Breakfast was delightful with everything home made. Private and secure parking in a lovely setting. This is the discovery of the century !!! We will certainly go back.

Perfect stay! Really well located in the Loire-Valley. Room was very comfy, the garden is great and the breakfast was really delicious (almost everything was homemade with high quality). Furthermore we got bikes for free to do a cycling tour. For us this accommodation was our highlight at the Loire-Valley.

Lovely Stay

Beautiful house and stay. Very well located if you plan to travel by car around the region. The rooms were spacious and super clean. Breakfast was complete and tasty. Not a lot of protein (for those looking for that in the morning) but everything that was offered was really good and traditional. The hosts were very friendly and attentive. I would stay here again!

Just a minor note here - you need to be able to lift your luggage and not roll it as they have antique wood floors. It was not a problem for us though. Bed mattress was not very comfortable, it had a weird incline to the sides.

Exceeded expectations which were already high

The breakfast was wonderful. Fresh fruits, homemade pastries and jams and all delicious. The room was very comfortable and quiet and everywhere was very tastefully decorated. Coralie was a very pleasant and attentive host.

Very comfortable B&B in old mill, with nice garden and the oldest ginkotree in the area( 170 yrs old). Close to the highway, very convenient for a stop-over on the way south. Excellent room with spacious bathroom and good shower. Breakfast delicious. Its a 10 min walk to the loire with a good restaurant.

A tasetfully renovated old building with a large garden. Super friendly hosts, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. Free parking in the courtyard. There is no carpet in the room (if you tend to get cold while walking on the cold floor, don't forget to bring your slippers).

Exceptional

We arrived at the end of a long and difficult drive, after which Domaine St Hilaire was the perfect destination. Hosts Coralie and Olivier could not be more charming and helpful. The building has been beautifully renovated and decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast was exquisite. Other plus points: secure parking with electric charging points; peace and quiet; short walk to village with good restaurants; plus of course the Loire itself. This place represents amazing value and we’ll definitely be going back.

Charming classic period house, tastefully renovated

Beautiful, charming house, beautifully decorated with a wonderful owner who really does make every effort to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast is excellent and the grounds lovely - an amazing 150 year old ginko stands in front of the house, if you like trees. Its a 10 minute walk to the old part of town and the Loire but that's the only downside.

Peaceful garden, new and clean rooms. The hosts were very kind and helpful! Nice French breakfast (home made pastries and jam!) and home made snacks during aperitif. The property is located walking distance from the center (10-15 min walk). Even the possibility to charge electric car which is perfect for a stop on the way to the south of France!

A great stop back from holiday.

The welcome from the owner, the green and calm place, and great breakfast. Easy to find, private car parking and good facilities. We had a nice stop on the way home.

Fazit: Wir haben uns selten in einer Unterkunft so willkommen gefühlt.

Die Unterkunft liegt zwischen Orleans und Blois sehr günstig; beide Städte sowie einige Schlösser z.B. Chambord oder Talcy sind mit dem Auto sehr gut zu erreichen. Sehr erfreulich ist auch die Parkmöglichkeit im Hof der Unterkunft. Und. wenn das Wetter besser gewesen wäre, hätte auch der Garten zu einem entspannten Aufenthalt eingeladen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gut gepflegt; was auch an den Hausregeln liegt, das Parkett möglichst schonend zu behandeln. Am meisten zum Wohlbefinden hat allerdings Coralie beigetragen, die Betreiberin der Unterkunft. Das begann mit dem Gals Wein zur Begrüßung und mit den Empfehlungen zu einigen Besichtigungen in der Nähe. Top war auch das Frühstück, mit frisch gebrühtem Kaffe, Croissants, Baguette, Käse, selbst gemachter Marmelade, und eigenem Apfelsaft; und vor allem mit diversen Süßigkeiten wie Crepes, Madeleines und anderem Gebäck. Alles immer mit ein paar freundlichen Worten in Englisch serviert.

...ich mach's kurz, eines der schönsten Hotels in dem wir je übernachtet haben...klein, ruhig, die Zimmer stilvoll und mit Liebe eingerichtet, sehr schöner Garten mit einem beeindruckenden Gingko-Baum. Coralie ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, vom Wein mit Käse-Häppchen bei unsere Ankunft bis zum absolut fantastischen Frühstück...wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt...😊

Ein gelungener Aufenthalt in einem charmanten Anwesen mit herzlicher Gastgeberin

Das Tor zur Domaine St. Hilaire geht auf und man tritt ein in ein liebevoll renoviertes Anwesen, das perfekt ist für ein paar Tage in Orléans und Umgebung. Die Gastgeberin Coralie serviert ein sehr leckeres Frühstück in schönem Ambiente und hat auch für Tipps für Restaurants oder schöne kleine Schlösser auf Lager. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Posizione all'interno di un bellissimo e grande giardino. Ambiente, arredo interno ed esterno eleganti. Gentilezza e simpatia dei proprietari. Colazione favolosa in giardino, preparata con prodotti locali di qualità dalla signora Coralie e servita con estrema cura nei dettagli (ceramiche di Gien, tovaglioli in tessuto). Ambiente rilassante e tranquillo con molta attenzione verso gli ospiti. Parcheggio interno, comodo e sicuro.

Es war ein traumhaftes kleines Chateau, was sehr hübsch renoviert und eingerichtet war. Das Frühstück war fantastisch und das Paar war wirklich sehr lieb.
