Simple accodomation near the centre

Simple accommodation close to the centre, with a very helpful host. We spent one night there, it was perfect for that.

Parking is not easy but Mike helped with that. The room is in a basement.

Not worth it

The owner is friendly, and communication was very easy and straightforward. The place is well located and was clean. There was a mini-fridge in the room.

We stayed in room 5, and the owner immediately mentioned that the previous guests had damaged the shower. He had tried to fix it so that water wouldn’t leak from the shower into the bathroom, but unfortunately, it still did. Everything got flooded. Another important detail is that the room is in a basement, and people walking by on the street can see absolutely everything happening inside unless the curtains are completely closed. Fortunately, it was only for one night, so I didn’t bother to complain.Parking is impossible in the area, the streets are very narrow.

Mike exceptional, friendly approach as also other guests staying there. Fabulous location, short cuts to areas we needed to go. Our room clean, tidy, very comfortable to sleep in. Would we return? Indeed we would.

Nice stay

The room was ok, basic but good value for money. You have a double bed, tv, a/c, refrigerator, shower and soup. The owner is very kind and really hardworking and care about your issues. Next time I will book not the basement rooms is a lot of humidity and no air.

Very affordable, but not very pleasant being in the basement, car parking is a big problem.

Helpful and polite host. Decent bathroom. All the facilities were there. Very affordable price, compared to others in the area of Central Heraklion. Walking distance to the center, no need to look for parking, which would be almost impossible, if you stayed outside the center of the city.

Trying to find a place to park is a nightmare. Had to pay for a nearby parking facility. Very narrow roads to move around, risk to scratch your car, or get it scratched by others, if you try to park on the side of the nearby roads. The basement had two half-size air/light openings (like mini windows) which we couldn't close. Being always open, the room had unpleasant smells and a/c vent sounds at night, and also got cold during the night. Poor cell phone network connectivity.

very stinky, mixed up, the smell of old grandma's closet, mold and bad deodorant. I'm sensitive to smells, I couldn't sleep because of the stench. white towels in street colour. it's not an apartment, it's just a hole.

the room was clean, speacious and in half-basement which given the temparatures outside was quite great. location is really good, a short walk from the center, in a quiet side street.

I perhaps overlooked something, but when booking a room with private bathroom i would never expect that the bathroom is not directly connected to the room. that was not super inconvinient, because our private bathroom was just a few meters away, but bathroom itself could use some deep cleaning, especially the shower cabin.

Location in good, we rented one night, because our flight was early in the morning and we wanted to be close to the airport.

The rooms in the basement have a weird smell… I do not recommend. I left my make-up bag in the bathroom, I washed it 2 times and it still smells like basement. The bathrooms are private, but are separate from your room, you have to go through a common hallway to get to the bathroom (which was not told prior to our booking).

We found 2 bottles of water in the fridge, really appreciated. Host was nice and allowed us to leave our baggage after the check-out, he also suggested us a bakery for the breakfast. Fantastic the idea of self check-in since we arrived very late due to our flight delay. Room and bathroom fully equipped (soap, shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner). AC available but we didn't use it.

No elevator. The room was in the basement, so no great view from the small window. Bathroom is private but detached from the room. We had a bad night because our neighbours came back at 2 am and shout from the bathroom to their room, banging the doors continuously, really a nightmare but it does not depend on the facility. Noise also in the morning due to works in progress in the street. The check-out day, after the night spent, we had bag stings on our body and we spent just 7 hours in that room.

Affordable no frills option in old town

Location very close to everything in the old town at an affordable price and very quiet at night. Water in the fridge, great communication from owner, easy self check in. If you'd like to stay in the old town on a budget this is a good option.

The room smelled a bit like old smoke like maybe it used to be a smoking room. There are air fresheners to try to mask the smell. Your bathroom is outside your room but is private to you (lockable with a key), which should be more clear in the listing. The bathroom smells damp as it gets no air as you are in the basement level of the building. Overall it's all in line with the price, so if you need an affordable option in the old town this is it!

The simpe but clean room had everything needed. For this price, the room clearly exceeded my expectations. The owner was very friendly and helpful, the visit left a good impression!

The bed wasn't my favorite, but it was fine for a short stay. However, I do not recommend the place for those sensitive to scents, as room scents are used in the room and in the stairwell.

GREAT ROOMS

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The location is perfectly located, central enough but quiet at the same time.... Mike was kind enough and gave us enough advice on how to spend our mini-vacation... The price paid is very good and i recommend the location with great confidence.

Unfortunately, the weather was strange and from what I understood, the period was one of the heavy rainest recorded in recent years..... Even so, it was a relaxing holiday
