Property was welcoming and very comfortable with all the amenities you needed.

Fabulous location for getting away
Instructions to get to property could have been better. Too far from the main road.

A bit tricky to find Ty-Gwyn initially

Had everything we needed and was very cosy
You need a car to comfortably get around so without one was a little difficult

Beautiful view from the cottage. A lovely patio/outdoor sitting area with a stunning view, with table and chairs.

This is a lovely place, hidden away in the Black Mountains. The owners gave very detailed instructions on how to get they, as it is hidden away off the main road. The place is well laid out, and the kitchenette is well stocked. There are plenty of footpaths from here on to the Blorenge and the rest of the Black Mountains.

the cottage was very comfy and had all that was needed for a lovely four day stay. We were able to find the key in the locked box very easily and the host responded to our messages very promptly. We also liked the goats by the parking (they were very cute!)! Parking is right by the house.

Beautiful location, although I didn't realise it was so close to the farmhouse.
Everything was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there.
Being that close to the farmhouse.

We had a lovely time at Ty-Gwyn! Very nice cottage and great location to explore the Brecon Beacons.

The little 'barn' was perfect for our short break. A self contained unit, well equipped and ideally placed for exploring the surrounding area.

Such a peaceful location and very well thought out little property with everything one needs for a simple country break.
Wifi would be cool, but sometimes a break from that is actually a nice thing.

Beautiful location lovely little cottage
Pillows a little soft but that’s my opinion I prefer hard pillows

Lovely little cottage nestled among the hills. Quiet and peaceful (apart from listening to the autumnal weather!); a great place to stay to get away from it all.

It had everything we needed. Nice and quiet and remote. Exactly what we were looking for. The living area was perfect. The whole place was so lovely and clean too.
The pillows were very soft and our sleep was not the best. I think the headboard didn’t help as the pillows fell through during the night.
We did have to move lamps due to one not working and lighting in general upstairs didn’t have much variation.

Idyllic setting, great facilities, off the beaten track but close to everywhere and even an excellent walk straight from the cottage

Location for us as we wanted to walk everywhere and up the nearby mountain, for some it may be too far from the Town. I loved the isolation and the roads were a challenge,. Taxis quite cheap and accessible outside Tesco's if you need to get back. Lovely walk to the left of the farm entrance up to the Blorenge Mountain.
Not much we love the area. Its hard to say as post covid - there is still some understandable distance between host & guest and we quite liked the separation. If we had not locked ourselves out onw night we may not of met our hosts at all .
Two beautiful dogs which may have been in the house a little & the bed a little uncomfortable.
It may be nice for some people to have more interaction with the farm and animals. We would have liked some breakfast items or the opportunity to buy some extra food as no shops in the area. Don't forget to bring supplies and remember no shops open after 4pm Sunday

The location was absolutely stunning, and the little cottage was just what we hoped for and more. Lovely bottle of prosecco in the fridge on our arrival, and Bethan was extremely helpful.
Nothing. We loved everything.

Loved the table and chairs outside and being able to sit and enjoy that beautiful view 😌 also loved meeting Marnie the cheerful pooch 🥰
Very damp downstairs and in the bathroom, struggled to get there on the first day as the postcode takes you to a different property.

Beautiful location by farm in hills above Abergavenny. Lovely walks including straight from the front door. The accommodation has the living/dining space upstairs and the bedroom downstairs. All generally comfortable. Hairdryer provided which is always appreciated! Lovely little sunny terrace, just a shame it was a bit too cold to sit out there still. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped (although could have done with some metal baking trays).
The upstairs was fairly cramped even for two people - this didn't come across that clearly in the photos. It was OK, with a very small dining table and 2 chairs, and a small sofa and armchair, but the actual space itself was pretty small.

Lovely welcoming family, appreciated the bottle of prosecco, fantastic location.
Fridge freezer was rather noisy and I could hear it downstairs during the night.
