The property was breathtaking—absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay; everything was so nice! ❤️

Network a struggle

The property is nestled in the mountains with a spectacular view of the dam. Well-maintained 4x4 gravel route throughout the farm and down to the dam, which also makes for a good 5-10km hike. Beautiful sunrise. Pool was clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with all amenities needed, and more. The house itself is clean and has a very nice layout with a veranda and a large built-in braai. Bruno, the host, was friendly and helpful and met us upon arrival to take us to the property which is a few kilometers drive from reception. The house runs on solar and gas, and everything works well, but take note that there is no oven and no aircon - it gets quite warm inside the house.

The lounge furniture is old and dirty. The main bedroom mattress is old and very uncomfortable. Despite the pictures on Booking.com, there is no quad biking, and the only canoes we could find were not "water-worthy". The advertised check-out time of 11:00 was changed by the host on our arrival to 10:00. The lapa is a short walk from the house, but bring your own camping chairs if you plan to use it.

No wifi, no lights at the pool

The house was comfortable and the views great. Provided books and games. Indoor fireplace. (Did provide wood after we asked for it) Saw lots of game, including Giraffes.

Had to contact the host to gain entry into property. (He was overseas) Did not have hot water for two of the three showers.(seems to have run out of gas) Needed wood for the fire pit, therefore did not use it.
