The house was very clean and spacious, and it had everything you need. It is in a peaceful street so you can rest well, there are no noisesl. The bed was very comfortable. Carmen was a great host, she took great care of me. I loved my 2 days in this house.
It is a bit far from the main train and bus station, so you need to walk, or ask locals for the buses around. I like to walk, so there was no problem. If you have a car then it is even better as there are places to park in front.

L'appartamento è piccolo ma molto curato, con tutto ciò che serve per qualche giorno di vacanza. La casa si trova a una ventina di minuti a piedi dal centro della città. La zona è abbastanza tranquilla, pur tenendo conto della complicata viabilità catanese.
La camera affaccia sulla strada, quindi si sente un po' il rumore del traffico.

It's not a big flat with a kitchenette. The landlady is very nice and speaks English. We talked via Whatsapp. The air-conditioning works well and cools the whole apartment. There's some basic stuff like tea, coffee, coffee maker, shampoo. The airport transfer is 20€. It's a typical, residential area. The litter and dirtiness of the neighbourhood may be a shock for less experienced travellers, but you can taste there real, local, home-made dishes, for reasonable prices!
The distance... Well, it's ok, when you want to visit the monuments of Catania - they're within 1,5 km. But when you want to use the central bus/train station it's almost 3km. Unfortunately, Catania has the least reliable, practically non-existant public transport. I know it's not the lanlady's fault. The sharp knife to cut the bread would be useful.
