A well appointed and very clean apartment, with air conditioning (essential in the Sicilian summer) and nice touches like a coffee machine with plenty of capsules plus a bottle of wine on arrival. Communication with the host was easy via WhatsApp, and he also messaged during my stay to check that everything was OK. There is a good and very reasonably priced supermarket (PaghiPoco) just two minutes' walk from the apartment.
The apartment is located in a down at heel neighbourhood, but the centre of Catania can be reached on foot within 20 minutes. There are also several restaurants in Via Lago di Nicito and Via Plebiscito, around a 10 minute walk from the apartment.
