Perfect location in cute apartment

Location was great. Apartment was clean with good aircon and a cute balcony looking onto a pretty street in old town. It was easy to find apartment and hosts were very helpful with any questions.

Bed was not comfortable. Mattress was hard and lumpy. If matress and towels were replaced, the apartment would be perfect for price.

Pleasant

The apartment is in a great location as it’s literally in the city centre and everything is walking distance . The studio comes with pretty much all you need.

The apartment we were given had no window, the studio room was very dark and had very little air. It feels like you are completely isolated from the outside as if you were in a bunker. We found 3 cockroaches on the stairs, obviously it’s Crete, it’s an island with nature, but weren’t really pleased.

I wouldn't recommend this place

As an advantage - big shower with really strong water pressure. There was TV with netflix downstairs, but unfortunetelly only one comfortable chair. Location is quite good, but not when you want peace and quiet.

We had 2nd floor room. Air conditioning was only downstairs. There was some cooling device running on cold water upstairs but it worked really poorly, it showed 33 degrees on the first night. The other option was extremely loud fan that did not worked properly (it was stucked in one place, not turning around). All in all first night was sleepless for us. It was fairly cleaned up, we found two cocroaches in the kitchen drawer when we've arrived - disgusting. There were also cocroaches on the staircase. Other extremely annoying thing was the toilet cover that was falling on your back. It wasn't equiped very well. We stayed for six nights, it would be nice to have at least some broom to swipe the floor. Also there were no additional bed sheets or towels like in every other place we stayed before. Here you need to pay additionnally for washing them. WiFi was working rather slow and it often lost connection. Also on the page you can read that check in is at 3pm but later they wrote to us to be at 3:30. Bed was rather small and uncomfortable. Additionnally there was not much light in the rooms. In general I wouldn't recommend this place - it would be so much better if not those inconveniences.

We got the attic studio and although it was very small, it was cozy,warm, very clean and beautiful. It is one of those rooms you see in a movie.

I don't think that this apartment is suitable for two people.The main single bed is convenient at some level but the second bed is like an emergency bed as it is just a drawer of the main bed. Therefore the mattress is hard and doesn't give the sense of stability.

We had a great stay at Stella’s apartment! She has been a great host, and even helped us to find a car when all cars were rented out. Communication was great (she gave all kinds of recommendations, which helped us enjoy our stay), as well as the location in the heart of town!

Cozy studio in the heart of Old Town

This studio was the perfect place to stay while stopping in Rethymno for the night. Our host was great in communicating the location and was there to meet us with the keys. We also had great communication when checking out and the host was always lovely and prompt in replying. The studio is an excellent use of space and the perfect size for a single or couple with a small kitchen, a huge tv, shower, toilet, a double bed upstairs in the loft, free wifi and a cute little balcony. It was also extremely clean and was nice to walk into after a long day of driving. The location is amazing! Right in the center of old town, only minutes away from the fortress and dozens of restaurants and bars. The bed was comfortable and we were glad to have air conditioning seeing as it was 30 degrees and the skylight was a nice addition! The street view from the balcony was nice and it was lovely to hear the hustle and bustle of old town, we were even treated to some Greek music and the sound of church bells.

There were some kitchen appliances, enough to get by, but if you’re planning on staying longer, don’t expect to have dinner in the apartment every night. Some basics would have also been appreciated, some coffee or tea for the morning would have been a nice addition. The skylight is a great point of difference however there is no way to cover it so the sun is very bright in the morning. The air conditioner is also downstairs so it hardly reaches the loft, we found especially with the shower being next to the bed, the hot air stays and the cold air doesn’t really reach. There is a fan, but this could be an issue when it’s even hotter in July and August. We also would have loved if there was some information on where to park our car. We knew there was no parking on the premises but some guidance on where we could go instead would have been helpful.

Generally, everything was nice and I would probably stay there again.

Great hospitality, very cozy, nice location, everything was well organized and the room had available air condition, electrical fan, television in the first floor only, all basic kitchen appliances and a spacious shower. The small balcony, also, offered a nice view to the street below. Owners are very friendly.

The only two problems we encountered was the excessive heat at the upper floor, where the bedroom is, which can not be dealt with the air condition unit at the lower floor. An electric fan is provided for this reason (I do not know if during August the fan will be enough). The other problem, which I am not 100% sure as we realized it early in the morning and I could not call the owner to ask, was that the skylight at the upper floor (bedroom) did not have any facility to block the sun light. Also note that TV is not provided at the upper floor.
