A truly wonderful stay at Frida‘s Old House!

Our stay at Frida’s Old House was simply perfect! The hospitality was outstanding – we immediately felt warmly welcomed and cared for. The room is not only perfectly clean but also incredibly cozy and peaceful, the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Luka and his Father have a lot of good recommendations for activities near by, like a walk to the beautiful lake Bled or plenty of hikes in the surrounding beautiful nature. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely recommend Frieda’s Old House to anyone visiting the area. We’ll definitely come back!

Wonderful stay in great apartment.

Had a wonderful 3 nights at Frida’s Old House. Great check-in with the hosts in their wine cellar complete with wine and sweet going through what to do in the area. The 200 year old building has been lovingly restored to high standard with great eye for detail. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds and all spotlessly clean. Lots to do in nearby Bled and Bohini yet nestled in quiet village. E bikes could be rented at the place. Just a wonderful family run business that is highly recommended.

Jewel in the mountains.

Everything!!! Immaculately clean and modern, not a spec of dirt anywhere. Owners are all brilliant people, kind, informative, engaging, welcoming, very helpful in advising on local things to see and do. Luka's mother is an amazing chef, her welcome dessert was out of this world and very welcomed after a long day of travelling. Apartment was perfectly equipped for anything, including a hearty meal. Everything was very organised, with an amazing aircon unit, which was badly needed in the heat. I'd highly recommend Freida's Old House as it was one of the best places myself and my fiancée have ever stayed. We will definitely return and bring friends, as we have big plans for a Lake Bled wedding in 2026. Also the proximity for the location of Frida's old house to everywhere in Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj was exceptional. Thank you very much, Luka and family for having us, we have had an amazing time because of your hospitality.

The accomodation was so clean and homely and the hosts were so lovely, welcoming and really helpful! They greeted us as we pulled in and waved us off as we left (with a pot of local honey as a parting gift 🥲) It was also great being a little bit out of touristy Bled - the little town that the accommodation is in is so cute! It also had a great little kitchen in the room so we could make our own meals.

You have found what you are looking for !!

The family is beyond deserving of the highest of praise. They go above and beyond for their guests. The beds are clean and with nicely pressed sheets. The room are immaculate, with all the furnishings need to cook if inclined to do so. The house itself has a cool history and is in the best location in between bled and bohinjska. Close enough for a morning run to lake bled. It’s the best launching point for any motorcycle trip. We will only book here for any future trip to Slovenia!

Our best experience in lovely Slovenia

We fell in love with nature and the scenery of stunning Slovenia, but yet the place we loved the most and would like to return again and again is Frida's Old House. This lovely family hosted us warmly with treats, a free wine cellar, explanations about the area, the place, the family and the Slovenian people in general. We are a couple and stayed at Frida's Old House for 4 nights and were very sad to leave. The room was equipped with everything we needed, we cooked meals there with no problem at all. The house is located in a charming village with a waterfall a short walk away, a 5 minute drive to the city of Bled and you can also use a walking path straight to Lake Bled (which you should walk around anyway). We highly recommend it.

Fantastic place, just book when visiting bled

Fantastic and authentic/historic place with modern facilities, super kind personel, small river running next door, lovely sits for coffee/wine outside, e-bike renting possibilities for exploring bled and surroundings easily (preventing traffic jams in summer) or a 40 min walk to lake bled.

I really loved my stay in Fridas and Luca was the most kind and caring host! He greeted us with refreshing tea and a yummy local dessert. Location is perfect, only 5’ drive to the hustle and bustle of lake Bled. So peaceful and quiet home to come back to. I will definitely stay here whenever I’m back to bled. Thank you Luca!

A very pleasant stay with wonderful hosts

The hosts were absolutely amazing. They did a wonderful job of looking after us from greeting us with wine and cake, telling us about the area and leaving goodies in the apartment. They even dried our shoes. We cannot speak highly enough about Luka and his parents. The apartment was very comfortable and the location was perfect for visiting Lake Bled.

Fantastic guesthouse and hosts!

Can't recommend a stay at Frida's Old House highly enough! On check in we were met by Luka and his parents, who gave us a warm welcome and plenty of ideas for things to do while in the area. They had also made some blejska grmada for us, which is a traditional dessert from the Bled area, and while it's not as well known as the Bled cake we thought it was much nicer! The guesthouse is modern, warm and tidy with a functional kitchenette. Recommend having a car if staying there, it's a few minutes drive to Bled or 30 min to Bohinj. Overall a fantastic place to stay with wonderful hosts!

Amazing!

I loved the stay and the hosts were so nice, and helpful that I can't even imagine. We reached their around 11:30 PM and they were waiting for us and offered the drink and so delicious traditional sweet. I love to go their again.

Even though we arrived quite late (around 23:00), the host gave us a very warm welcome - including local schnapps and even a cake! The apartment was modern and comfortable. I was unsure whether all the amazing reviews were for real, but this place really is as excellent as everyone says!

Wonderful Experience

We were welcomed in such a beatiful way by Luka and his parents. They were really hospitable and kind. For example, when we came Luka provided us with some useful information about good local places to visit and gave us a map with instructions. His mother made a welcoming local sweet for the two of us and the next day, his father gave us donuts (that day they were celebrating a holiday called "The Fat Thursday"). The apartment was really clean and had everything you would need (and beyond) for your everyday life. Even the refrigerator was full (free of charge) with some beverages and sweets. Also, everyday you had the opportunity to taste the wine from the house's basement. The nature around the whole area and Bled itself were astonishing. When the time came for us to departure, Luka's father gave us a home-made honey as a gift. Overall, it was an amazing experience. :)

Luka and his parents were great hosts, they welcomed us with local dessert and drink. Luka also give us a lot of tips for Triglav park hikes. The house is hundreds years old but the rooms were recently renovated, so everything looks new and clean. The wifi was strong and there is wine cellar where you can grab the glass of vine on the house anytime. We also appreciated the free parking in front of the house.

When we arrived Luka shows on map all best place to visit in all area and treat us with wine and local cake (delicious!) Apartment was cosy and had all thinks that we need. Don't miss Fridas Old House!

Where should I start? First of all, we arrived before the check-in and already found our host George outside waiting for us. We were warmly greeted with a drink and homemade sweets in the wine cellar and felt instantly welcome after a long drive The structure is an historical building from mid 19. century and very well renovated. The room was clean and cozy and equipped with all comforts. The rooms have also a small kitchen with a very good kitchen equipment. You don't need to bring anything by yourself. The inside is furnished very nice and matching the stile of the house. It was cared for in every detail. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and always up for a quick chat. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and can definitely recommend Fridas Old House for a stay in Bled.

Charming place to visit Bled

We loved our stay at Frida’s House. Luka was waiting for us at our arrival to welcome us. He explained us all the nice places to visit around Bled and some recommendations to eat local food. His mother gave us a nice cake and they offered us wine from their cellar. At our departure they also gave us honey from a neighbour. The studio was really nice and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The place has been renovated recently but it keeps all the charm. We stayed 3 nights and felt like home. We recommend Frida’s House if you plan to visit Bled, Vintgar and the Bohinj lake as it is not far by car. You will definitely enjoy your stay! 😊

Exceptional

It was a wonderful perfect place to stay during my alone quiet vacation. The room was cozy, clean, own-room like atmosphere with little comfortable balcony. Everything is equipped around the kitchen. The bathroom was spacy enough with nice hot shower. The host and his father were so friendly and kind enough to give me all the information I need but not pushy so I felt quite comfortable. I could walk to the lake Bled with no problem but if you dont like too much walking you can take a free bus ride( 6 or 7 times a day during the Summer season) or you can go by car which is just 5 minutes drive. I highly recommend this place if you prefer a bit quiet moments during your vacation time.

Nothing at all. one thing for the next guest....there was no microwave in the room. If you buy and bring something that needs to heat up by microwave, think about another way to heat it up!
