Location is great and the host very nice. She was happy to suggest places to visit and to keep my luggage after the checkout. The apartment is also extremely clean.

Bathroom has to be shared but in fairness I never had to wait.

Wonderful comfy bed with warm duvet. :D Also, no fussing with codes for self-check-in, but good old-fashioned person with key to greet you on arrival. On the whole a pleasant, tastefully decorated place to stay near the railway station and all the main sights, including Teatro Verdi.

A comfortable place to stay a couple of nights. Well situated in Trieste.

Location was excellent--not far from the waterfront promenade. Hostess was very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast not provided but I knew this beforehand and it did not worry me. Shared facilities were not a problem and this was communicated beforehand.

Great location and super host!

Location can’t be beat! Bed was super comfortable and the pillows were so nice. Elevator worked (5th floor), hostess is amazingly helpful and insightful.

A fantastic little B&B

A fantastic little B&B. Silvana was an excellent host - very kind and offered great suggestions for places to visit. The air conditioning was excellent and the little balcony was a nice place to sit. Eveything was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the extra toilet meant no waiting if you were desperate. A great location!

Amazing place

The location was amazing, close to everything in the city center. And the host was so nice, she gave me the best tips to plan my itinerary in town. I highly recommend this B&B. The place was very clean and organized. Very comfortable aswell.

Affordable, clean and friendly! Great spot for exploring Trieste.

Close to Canal Grande and further on to the piazza, this is a great location to explore Trieste from. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay!

Not a major dislike, but we noted that other guests had written that the “breakfast” was some biscuits and a coffee. This was true. Coffee was delicious though!

Good valve, comfortable and friendly B and B

Silvana was a very friendly host with good communication. The B and B is in a great location for walking to the Grand Canal and sea front. We liked Trieste and would have liked to stay longer.

ALl good for the one night stay. Home is comfy and makes you feel like you are in Italy.

The place was nice but only air in the rooms. The hosts was very nice and available for you. The location was is walking distances of Triste center.

The only thing I did not know, is the B & B is really no longer does breakfast. I was looking forward to a relaxing Italian breakfast in the home. She did provide coffee and cookies upon request but I was looking forward to a home breakfast.

Silvanna is perfect host. Unusual rather grand apartment. Very clean. Silvanna is helpful withh where to visit. And maximum 15minute with case to bus and train station. And 5 minutes to promonade. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place to stay in Trieste

Great location, only 10 minutes walk from the station once you know! The Filoksenia's decor is beautiful, fitting the age of the building.. My bedroom was airy and fresh, the bed was huge and exceptionally comfortable. A shared bathroom was fine, it just felt as though I was a guest in a friend's house. Sylvana gave me a great suggestion for seeing the main sites of the city in the short time I had in Trieste. I would certainly book again into her B&B on future visits to Trieste.

Excellent location, right in the city center and close to everything, including buses, the Grand Canal, etc. The host was very generous and provided tips on what to do, where to eat... I was very comfortable here and would recommend it to anyone. As others have noted, the coffee was exceptional!

The property was located very near the city center, about a 10 minute walk to the train station. The hostess was very helpful with providing info regarding city, and special touches such as tea and cookies.

The room was quite small but it met my needs and I could relax in the dining/living room area.

Caring for strangers!

Fantastic, friendly and talkative host who gave us countless great recommendations and told wonderful stories. Astonishingly well-decorated interiors, both our room and the communal space. Incredible coffee (the local speciality, Hausbrandt), with excellent biscuits generously provided. Excellent bathroom facilities. Perfect location at the north end of the amazing city of Trieste. Entirely recommended.

I was in the middle of a long 20 day trip and my unexpected late arrival from Istria was quickly accommodated by the owner. She is very helpful ☺ and the facilities are excellent. If I go back to Trieste, I shall stay there again.

Conveniently located for visiting the city & for the bus/train stations. The host was very helpful & welcoming, and gave us tips on what to do in the city, and let us store our bags for the day after we had checked out. The room and facilities were very good.

A real gem with the best host

A short walk from the train station, and the city center. Big spacious room with AC. Two shared bathrooms, very light and clean. But the highlight was the host. Very kind and welcoming. Provided us with lots of info about Trieste, and a very nice breakfast. Will definitely return if back in Trieste!
