Le Presbytère des Baraques à Blériot-Plage

The location was fantastic, the car was also on a piece of private property. And from a short distance to the boat to go from Calais to Dover. Everything was superclean. Great bathroom and fantastic kitchen to do whatever you like to do. We were only there for one night so we did not realy used the kitchen. Comfortable beds and it was along a road but we did´t hear a thing. I will do this another time again for again one night or more nights if i want to see things in France. The flatscreen was a problem for us to make it do what we want. But maby we didnt understand how it works. Maby very easy but for the one night it was not such a problem. There is a manual in the hotelbook but i noticed that too late.

We liked the location and the property. It is in a quiet neighbourhood with shops for groceries such as bread and a very good French local restaurant (which is very difficult to find in Calais!). It is also one street away from the quiet part of the beach. The apartment was in good condition and decorations were carefully selected to reflect a marine theme which made all the rooms including the WC with great personality and a happy place to be in. There is ample gated parking and a garden. Deck chairs and garden seating is provided. All the equipment was in perfect working order. We certainly felt we made a good selection. Host instructions very clear and comprehensive. We found everything we needed to know for access and operating the equipment.

Lage fast direkt am Strand, sehr liebevoll und freundlich eingerichtet mit allem, was man braucht. Gastgeberin war vor Ort und sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Parkplatz direkt im Innenhof mit Sicherheitstor.

Loved that it was close to the beach. Summer months will be so much better as it were very cold. Bed were comfortable. Coffee pods and tea provided is a nice touch, just remember to get milk ;)

Paid for a two bedroom apartment, but only got one room as the second room were locked. The pillows on our bed were quite soft and we would have loved another pillow, but couldn’t get any because the second room were locked. Never had this situation that you pay for the whole apartment but only get half , as doors get locked? Very strange. The washing up sponge looked very used, we won’t even use it looking like that In my own house, thank god we didn’t had to use it. In the guest book in state the heating can only be left on for 5 minutes at a time, the apartment were so cold, 5 minutes won’t make a bit of a difference what so ever. The toilet area were so cold, sitting on the toilet seat were painful! Another issue, if you open the bedroom window, it is quite loud, so if you want a quiet night sleep, it can get a bit loud with cars driving by.
