Pine Cottage

Lovely cosy cottage in central village location. Lovely welcome gift of mince pies, mulled wine and basic essentials. Great walks from the door.

No dishwasher, so I had to wash some items before cooking, eating or drinking. It would be a good idea if two sets of utensils,crockery etc were available to swap over to allow for thorough cleaning between each visitor, due to the lack of dishwasher. Standing pipe inside the house, which was possibly a washing machine waste pipe, needs sealed due to bad drain smell whenever the sink was drained.

Cosy and close to city centre. Nice woodburner aldo wood is expensive.

Both Fryingpans are warnout. Missing personal contact with landowner.

Pine cottage provided a central location for visiting the Dales. It's surrounded by lovely countryside with walks from the doorstep. Sedbergh is a nice small town to stay in. The property is tastefully furnished and had everything we needed for our four days. The bed was comfortable.

We thought from the description the property was in a small close but it is literally in a yard and so you have to stop on the pavement to drop your bags off. We had to park and walk to find the property as driving up and down the busy street felt unsafe. Once we knew where it was it was ok. We always managed to find off street parking and didn't need to use the parking permit provided. The bathroom is on the top floor which kept us fit! It's got a really good shower. It could benefit from a free standing towel rail in the bathroom.

Great location near town centre, easy to pull over on the road to unpack and free on street parking a couple min walk up the hill. Kitchen had plenty of pots and pans etc. Beds comfy.

No basic panty condiments (e.g. oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, etc.) which help make a self catering apartment easy to cook in. Floors were fairly dirty, certainly not the cleanest place i've stayed, but fit for purpose as allows pets and is in muddy hiking area i guess. Only 1 loo roll provided for a 3 night say with 3 people. No secure outside space for pets, but very quick walk to the church grounds for a quick walk with the dog.
