Lovely cosy stay. Everything was just as expected and was an amazing long weekend - thank you

Loved how it had been renovated, very much our taste. Everything was immaculate. Excellent location. Good pubs and cafes nearby.
A little cold in the main living area. Weren’t sure what to do with the log burner as we don’t have one. Upstairs was perfect temperature.

This property was beautifully furnished with every thing we needed for a few nights away.
Situated in a beautiful Village location with amenities close by. A short walk to parking and EV charging facilities too.
Cosy and nicely furnished close to amenities.

It was a beautiful, well looked after, clean, fully equipped house. It was at the centre of some amazing walks and close to all the pubs/shops. It was a really nice place to stay with our friends and 2 dogs.
The absolute only fault is is that’s its situated on a narrow road so it’s really difficult to pull in and load/unload the car. Unfortunately our car was hit while we were trying to load the car up on our departure day.

The property was very comfortable and warm with lots of hot water for showers. It was also adequately stocked with all the basic kitchen utensils, equipment and crockery. Very comfortable bed with ample towels (as there was only the two of us staying)
Parking was a bit of an issue and although there was free overnight parking a short walk from the property, you had to get up early to feed the parking meter if you wanted to have a leisurely breakfast before heading out. The property is also on the main through road to the village so obviously it's going to be noisy - it actually didn't bother us as we live on a busy road at home - but this might cause an issue for some people.

Gorgeous cottage, well equipped, we loved our stay thank you!
Nothing- no parking but can pull up outside to unload the car and most houses in sedbergh seem the same, you can walk everywhere so it didn’t impact us though!

Great cosy little cottage in a very central location

Bed is broken in the left hand room so having to try and fix the wooden panels underneath to keep the bed from collapsing! Also the shower had very little power and ran cold after a few minutes.

property was clean and nice, smart to you can connect to, bookshelves & card games. Didnt really speak to the people who run it aside from getting the code but that’s no issue as the code was right. There’s a spar down the road and a few cafes and a couple of shops down the other road. Locals are nice enough. White hart was a good pub if ur looking. Tea and coffe riviere alongside a few other condiments. Hairdryer also provided.
Can get the bus into kendal x3 a day and the bus stop is right outside the cottage!
Overall the property was beautiful and was a lovely stay.
the location is awful IF YOU DONT DRIVE, we were stuck at dent station as there’s no signal nor taxis/ ubers but fortunately was given a lift from a passer by.
there were a couple imperfections such as a faulty doors not shutting properly ect but mostly non issues.

Well equit and very well styled, great location if you like a short walk into town!
Only negative was road noise.

A perfect base for walking and discovering the little town of Sedbergh. All we needed and lots of handy extras which were appreciated when you're having to travel light.
There is no outside space but that's not really a drawback when you're outside all day anyway, as we were.

Location was perfect. Once parked up we didn't use the car. Used all the local food facilities. Teenage boys delighted with the local pizza takeaway. Local Spar handy for basics, and the wonderful Meat Hook Butchers a must visit if you enjoy a good steak without restaurant prices.
Took a walk up Winder Hill with my 13 year old and Boston Terrier, even little legs managed it but we didn't get to the summit as it was very cold.
The local information centre really helpful for guided walks.
The property itself was cosy and comfortable.a Caffetiere would have been good but able to get a nice fresh brew from one of the local cafes.
Lack of parking outside the house but not a deal breaker for us as we only had a few bags.

The cottage was beautiful with some lovely interior design pieces. The village was great with everything that you may need on your doorstep. There was lots to do around the area
I didnt like leaving my car in a car park all night, although we were told about this when booking.

The owner had thought of everything you needed for self catering. There were some food staples, tea towels, things like shampoo and bath and shower gel. Towels provided were good quality. Treats for your dog and dog towel. Some dry dog food and a tray of long life dog food. There was plenty of room for four people, there were three of us,
Unfortunately there was no garden but info about a field we could exercise dogs on just down the road. No parking outside property. We could unload our luggage and then go and park. We had to park a little way away in public car park. Parking elsewhere in the village was hard to find a vacant spot. I did have trouble sorting out how to use hob and cooker. But that was me not being used to touch controls.

The cottage was super comfortable, very stylish. Had everything you’d need, well kitted out kitchen, with essentials, shower gel and shampoo. Central location in the village. Will definitely be staying again.
A few maintenance issues -
shower was very hot, and was not possible to turn it down
kitchen sink sprung a leak and sprayed water everywhere
there were unsightly stains on part of the bedroom ceiling from old leak
beds have memory foam mattresses, not our favourite

Good location
Tastefully decorated & modern
Warm & cosy
No coffee/occasional tables
No dining table
Cooker caked in grease & stank of bacon/roast dinners .. we're veggie 😱
2 TVs did not work & no batteries provided for remotes

everything - it was just great for a group of 4!
the only thing was the catch on the door catches the sink every time you go in the bathroom, scared me in the middle of the night! also not the properties fault but if you are taking dogs the door opens right onto the road so just need to be careful

Lovely cottage with wood burning stove well equipped in a great location, wonderful that is it dog friendly, we all had a comfortable stay.
A bit dusty and could have done with a good clean/decobwebbing! Not a very response host - we got locked in the property as the door wasn’t working and there is only one door. The host didn’t respond when we called and messaged which was concerning. In the end we had to climb through the window to check out!

A beautiful, cosy property in an excellent location. Very warm, comfortable and clean with plenty of storage and original features. Excellent wi-fi enabling me to work. The dog bed, bowls and treats were appreciated by our Spreagle! It was lovely to have a tree there for the festive period too.
As a couple of other reviews have mentioned, there was a slight issue with the shower being too hot, however Jodie explained what was happening and it was rectified for the rest of our stay.

Location very good for all facilities in Sedburgh but a parking permit provided by the property (as experienced elsewhere) be recommended.
Very nicely decorated and clean and comfortable.
Several items were broken: the wood-burner and the shower being two major items which were absolutely unacceptable but also clocks not working and a couple of cupboards in the kitchen need attention. There needs to be some small tables near the sofa or drinks have to be placed on the floor.
The shower being unusable was inexcusable! The plumber was called but he did not fix the problem - just replaced a missing knob without checking the shower was then functional.

This was a rented cottage so we made our own breakfast. The location was central in the town so all amenities were just a short walk away.
The shower had a faulty mixer valve which made it impossible to turn it down from very hot. hence could not use the shower. I rang the owner who acted quickly and sent a plumber round within about an hour who made the shower usable. This did not spoil our stay.

Quaint, cosy, comfortable. Situated well for access to town shops & restaurants.
No parking or easy access. No 7 day parking ticket/pass available so had to find street parking each evening.

No 8 Main Street is a cosy little cottage, beautifully decorated & updated with classy touches. Simple decor but comfy modern fabrics & finishes.
We booked a table at the Dalesman for our first evening which was approx 30 steps away!
Great to be able to take our Lab & a lovely touch to have a dog basket, bowl & treats for him too! Dog owners need to be aware that the front door opens directly onto the road so more lively dogs would need watching.
Owners responded within minutes to a query & very friendly.
Lovely cottage & would definitely return again.
There wasn’t much we didn’t like but maybe if being picky, a blind at the kitchen window.

The accommodation was done up to an extremely high standard and the owner made sure there was lots of extras there to make the stay perfect
Dishwasher tablets washing powder bin backs small things that actually made a difference
No garden but was aware ! Didn’t cause any issues though

Sehr gemütliches Ambiente. Man kommt gerne „nach Hause“.
Eigentlich hat uns alles gefallen. Das Cottage liegt allerdings direkt an der Hauptstraße. Daran darf man sich nicht stören.
