Le petit clos du Bessin

The cottage and gardens were lovely and exceeded my expectations. The 3 enclosed gardens were a very pleasant surprise. The photos sold the location well but the property was more charming than portrayed. The barn converted to a garage was another plus.

We had trouble locating the property at first. Both Google Maps and Tom Tom in the rental car took us to the house at #8 rather than #18 farther down the road. It would be helpful to mention that GPS may take you to the wrong place.

Lovely French cottage in a great location for exploring the D-day landing beaches by car. Very clean with modern bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and traditional stone walls in the living areas and bedrooms. Like the other reviews say, good quality bedding is left on each bed for you to make up yourself so you can see the beds are clean. The outside areas all well kept with lovely fruit trees. Our host responded to messages quickly and gave clear instructions on how to access the property.

If you want to eat out in the evening, there isn’t much within walking distance. Wasn’t a problem for our family stay, we ate at the property every night and enjoyed the quietness of the location.

C'est vraiment une superbe maison avec trois espaces jardins clos. Parfait pour les chiens. La maison a beaucoup de caractère ; une grande cuisine dînatoire, un salon confortable, deux chambres, une salle de bains a l'étage et une salle de douche au rez-de-chaussée. C'est à même pas 5 minutes de marche de la batterie de Longues et a une petite quinzaine de minutes en voiture de Bayeux. La reprise des clés est facile (boîte à clés). Le contact avec la propriétaire était efficace et amical. Un grand merci pour ce magnifique séjour.
