The worst.

Nothing,

It was a dirty, no a very, dirty place. It hasn’t been cleaned, it’s a pity that I can’t place the pictures in my comments. The landlord was very rude claiming that I am a bad customer. Which is of course a lot of nonsens. we stayed for 30 minutes and then we decided to leave. (Our dogs are sleeping in our van but due to a very bad area we had to leave) I sincerely don’t know where Al the good comments are coming from. This place is absolutely not a place to stay. Even for that price,

Disappointing

furniture is old, the place is very small and didn’t seem very clean. Although there was almost all day checkin offered when we booked, we were given a very short window as the host was due somewhere else. Street parking was available, however very busy street that was and only managed to find a parking spot at some distance (with luck!), the list could go on

Apartment is large and perfectly equipped for a small family There’s plenty of toys, games and books Apartment is in good condition, nicely furnished and overall clean. The view is nice (into a park) and quiet. The city center is really just a walk of let’s say 10 Minutes away.

The St. Lambert train station was not in service during our stay due to construction works. We had to travel 30 Minutes (with bus etc.) from and to the main train station. This of cause is not the host’s fault. How ever, it would have been good, if we where informed about it. Even when we asked Gisele about the best connection, she would say St Lambert is the best option. That surely is because, she doesn’t live in the city. But as a host, it would be good to stay informed. Another thing: when asked for a good place to eat and drink out, as a host I would never ever say, the best is to order food from the internet. This is just a joy killer. (There are not many, but a couple of places with gastronomy inside the city, some of which are okay.) Concerning the flat, it is really nice and has everything you need, but the washing machine smelled really badly when used, and I mean it, like you want to open the windows and get out of the flat for a couple of hours. Last thing is a question of personal taste, but frankly speaking the entire city of Liège is either a big construction site or really ugly. In fact, Liège is the only city ever I have really liked to skip (and I have seen a lot). Better stay in other places like Namur, Huy, Brussels or Whatever.

Pleasant

The apartment is nice and modern. And the location is close to the center.

The bed and sofa bed is not confortable at all. The mattresses are very soft. The shower doesn't work properly and the water is out very easily, creating a lake in the bathroom. Before arriving we asked for laundry powder and the lady told us to buy some on our own. If you offer laundry and dryer, the powder should be included, in my opinion. The stay was ok, but not fantastic. The addres is not totally correct and Google has problems to find the exact place.

I recommed the place and the city of Liege

Very helpful host - she waited for us with keys, she showed the apartment and explained the rules. The apartment was quite spacious: a separate bedroom and living room with a kitchenette. Bathroom with a bathtub and shower. Electrical stove top (not fully functioning), fridge, a microwave, coffee machine with capsules. A washing machine together with detergent and a dryer. Comfortable bed in a bedroom as well as quite good couch. Obviously, TV with a number of channels. View on the park/garden. We appreciated quietness of the apartment. Convenient location: near to the Citadelle (10-15 minutes walking) and to the city centre (15-20 minutes). A bit distant from the railway station. You can park for free on the street - we never had a problem with parking place. Relatively low price, esp. in comparison with Maastricht or Aachen.

Problem with garbage should be somehow resolved - garbage are collected just once a week and it was our problem what to do with them. That was not a huge problem, but the apartment is in an old tenement house and it can be noticed.

The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids liked this place the best on our trip, and I got all our washing done thanks to the washing machine and dryer :) Lots of free parking places on the street if you come by car. There were also some tourist brochures in the apartment for tips on places to visit, which was nice.

Perfect place to stay

Excellent place to stay in Liège. We’ve travelled for more than week through the Benelux but this apartament was our best one. Excellent condition with reasonable price. Close distance to the old market, small shop on the opposite site of the street, no payment for parking the car on the street and no problems with finding the place for car. Elevator in the building and we’ll equipped kitchen. And what is important very nice and helpful host. I strongly recommend this place.

Mooi en verzorgd apartement. Goede locatie, dichtbij station. Vriendelijke host die steeds klaarstaat en snel antwoord. Hondvriendelijk! Alle voorzieningen waren aanwezig. Handig dat er een bedzetel is!

De kussens en matrassen gaven niet veel steun. Je hoort alles van andere bewoners van het appartementsblok.

Problemas graves con el estacionamiento

La experiencia en general fue correcta, pero tuve un problema importante con el estacionamiento.. Solamente dormimos una noche y seguimos de viaje.

En el anuncio del alojamiento se indicaba claramente que había parking público gratuito en el establecimiento y que no era necesario reservar, motivo por el cual estacioné frente al edificio. Días después recibí una multa de 80 € del Ayuntamiento de Liège, ya que aparentemente la zona es de residentes o de pago. Contacté tanto por WhatsApp como por Booking a la propietaria, pero no obtuve ninguna respuesta ni ayuda, a pesar de haberle enviado toda la documentación. Me parece inaceptable que se publique información incorrecta en el anuncio y que luego el huésped quede completamente desamparado. Recomiendo a futuros viajeros que verifiquen personalmente las condiciones de estacionamiento, ya que la información del alojamiento no es fiable.

Knus, schoon, praktisch appartement op loopafstand van leuke buurtjes. Vrij uitzicht op bomen. Met hond kun je vlakbij (Citadel) heerlijk lopen.

Un court séjour (une seule nuit) mais qui nous a donné envie de revenir

La gentillesse de la propriétaire. Bien qu’elle n’était pas sur place, elle nous a guidé à distance pour la prise en possession des lieux et nous a donné plein de conseils pour le stationnement, la visite de la ville, les meilleurs restaurants. La propreté du logement, très cocooning La proximité du centre ville (environ 1/4 h à pieds). Par contre, attention pour le retour, ça grimpe !

Super Mini Wohnung :)

Super nette Gastgeberin Sehr schöne kleine Wohnung, hat für uns 2 mehr als genug ausgereicht. Es war wirklich alles vorhanden Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Super Lage, maximal 10 min Fußweg in die Stadt Waren nur eine Nacht dort aber wir können es definitiv weiterempfehlen.
