Spacious house across the driveway from the owners, built next to their garage. Quiet, nice furniture and a lovely bonus of tea, coffee, cold water and drinks (and chocolate cookies! :-) in the fridge. A large bowl of fruit as well! Much appreciated, as was the warm welcome!
Pylos is a great little village with a nice waterfront, enough shops to keep you occupied for a while, and it's close to interesting things to do and lovely beaches. There is a good grocery store just 500m away.
The bed was pretty firm, which was fine for me, but it may not suit everyone.
Also, while the waterfront was a walkable 20 minutes downhill, there were hardly any sidewalks until you get near the water, so you need to walk close to the road some of the time... However, there is plenty of parking at the waterfront, so it's an easy drive down and back...

Quiet, clean and genuine Greek hospitality (the host family live also on the property); excellent beds and modern shower/bathroom, decent kitchen, two spacious terraces. A bit hard to find at first (from the large supermarket on the designated street: in the direction away from the town centre, take first unmarked sidestreet on the right), but there is ample parking on the gated property marked Vasiliki residence a bit uphill

This is a new built residence with new appliances easy to use
1. Not clean enough. 3 nights there and the owner didn’t bother to give us new shampoo and bath gel (only 2 small bottles were available for all the days we spent there). Also there was a washing machine, the owner said she will get us some detergent which she never brought.
2. 3 nights and no one came to clean the room (not even the toilet basket)
3. In the main bedroom the ceiling is very low. As a result it is impossible to go to the other side of the bed unless you stoop low enough. Very uncomfortable!
