Apo Diver Beach Resort

Best stay i had so far in the Philippines! The island itself is so special and takes your breath away, but this resort… just wow. You don’t even have to look for a nice white sand beach because you have it within like 15 steps away from your room. You could rest on the beach, next to the pool, climb one of the palmtrees and have rest up there on a big rope hammock. I just felt like im in paradise!! And the staff🫶🫶 Everyone was super lovely and helpful! There’s a beach bar with the best cocktails and bartenders. Partys on friday and saturday night. Lovely food that they bring to you from next door. We had the privilege to even try one of their local food, which was for the staff who by the way always eat together which was just so good to see. It became my fav local dish. All in all just super satisfying and would recommend to everyone!! Of course our room was also clean, comfy bed, nicely working AC and cute bathroom. Also they arrange dives of course, even for beginners and the prices are very reasonable! Thank you for having us, had the best time there🫶

Very nice beach and nobody there. Evenings looks amazing at the beach and also nice pool right at the bar. You can rent scooter and explore Island in one day and also you can go diving with them too

We really appreciated the warm and friendly communication from the owner before our arrival, and the welcome on check-in was lovely. The room had a beautiful view, and the scooter we pre-arranged was ready and waiting, which made it easy to explore the local area. The resort is in a great, central location — we visited the Tower viewpoint, Monkey Beach, San Juan, the port town, and local waterfalls easily. The dive boat was small but well-run, and the staff on board were helpful and friendly.

The room felt overpriced for what was offered. Only one kitchen light was working, and we had to ask for basics like clean towels (as the resident cat had been sleeping on them) and toilet rolls. Breakfast was significantly more expensive than local cafés, so we chose to eat elsewhere. The communal areas felt neglected — pool cushions were rarely out, one usable sunbed, and guest areas were often used by staff (including for pedicures). The beach out front was full of seagrass and not maintained, unlike the section cleaned by the backpackers next door. Wi-Fi was mostly unavailable, possibly due to monsoon weather. The biggest issue was the loud music from the neighbouring property with no prior warning. It caused us to leave early. Although we were told we’d be refunded for the unused night, only a partial refund was given as the room didn’t get rebooked — disappointing, especially in low season. Diving was also underwhelming. Despite requesting Jear (as advised), he was the skipper that day and not our guide. The actual guide was pleasant but didn’t point out marine life, and the experience was lacklustre compared to other places like Dauin and Apo Island — we didn’t book further dives as a result.
