A beautiful hotel right on the beach with plenty of lovely restaurants to eat at in the evening. A short taxi ride to lots of places to see if you don’t want to drive. Heronissos is 10mins to the east and Heraklion is 20mins to the west. We are already looking to book for next year

Great buffet selection, beautiful hotel with views from a variety of places within and plenty of seating and loungers so dont need to worry about getting one. Only point is the loungers on the beach could be nicer to match the decor and standard of the hotel

Booked a pool view room got a dark ground floor walled patio. Apparently our room type didn’t exist. We had leaks coming in to our toilet from adjoining room- reported it twice never fixed. Give you one small bottle of water per room per day and the fridge is barely big enough to fit anything else in.
On the plus- the service staff were great. Cleaners, bar staff and servers. Lots of them around always with a smile. Never had an issue with no glasses so this must have been an out of season issue.
But this place is not a 5*- it’s a good 3* at most. And a very expensive one at that.
Gouves doesn’t really have anything around so I would recommend choosing another area
