A lovely night away

It was lovely. Very homely! Good space. Lovely little village.

The only downfall for me - not having a pot of sugar available for arrival. Just so you can make a cup of tea after a 5 hour drive. We had packed milk etc just not sugar.

The location is excellent, the proximity of the coastal path is a massive advantage. The house has a lot of character, which we really liked.

The dining room floor is a few centimetres higher than the kitchen floor, which poses a serious safety concern. We all tripped at least a couple of times and one of us fell over and hurt themselves quite badly. This should be at least covered with a door mat to prevent injuries. Some of the plates and utensils in the kitchen weren't clean and there was a bit of dust in drawers and on shelves.

Fantastic cottage with great access to beautiful walls.

Lovely property in a lovely remote village. The cottage had everything we needed and we had a great time there. Well equipped kitchen, powerful hot shower and comfortable beds. Excellent value for money and we would happily visit again!

Fabulous, loved it all thank you

Location was perfect for us - a quiet village just a short walk from the coastal path and the sea. A pleasant cafe in the village and a fairly dismal looking pub but The Sloop and The Shed in Porthgain, about 5 mins in the car, are excellent.

Our only very minor niggle was that any rain at all at night, whether a light drizzle or a full downpour, is unusually audible.

Authentic cottage in great location

Homely, well-equipped, clean, comfortable, quiet, private. Plenty of local info and books, games etc. Fresh milk in fridge plus cake and biscuits. Great location for coastal path and places of interest farther afield. The Shed at Porthgain - best fish and chips ever! A delightful place to stay.

Only slight issues are: parking is in car park 3 doors away, shower room downstairs off kitchen so quite a trek from bedrooms, and there are low beams downstairs, but these weren’t problems for us. Unfortunately the tv hadn’t been checked after previous guests and was not working but this was very quickly rectified.
