Chez Mimi - chambre vue jardin

Only 15 minute walk from Metro, delicious breakfast and wonderful owners.

We received a warm welcome before even reaching the property, as we bumped into Michel as he was walking the dog in the nearby park and he led us the rest of the way to the house. My room was pleasant, with a very comfortable bed that allowed me to get some good sleep (despite our visit being at the height of the heat wave - fortunately there was a nice, powerful fan in the room), a table and a couple of chairs that gave me space to sort out my things. Breakfast was simple but always delicious - we were served ham and cheese, tomatoes, fresh bread, pastries, yoghurt and coffee, accompanied by wonderful chats with our hosts (usually including valuable tips on the best way to get where we needed to go and other handy local knowledge). We felt very welcome every moment of the stay, and were sad to leave Michel and Patricia behind at the end.

The only thing that was less than perfect was that the only toilet was downstairs, right by the main door. But this was less inconvenient than expected, and there's not much they can do about the layout of the house. The location is also about 40 minutes from the city centre on public transport, which isn't too bad but should be kept in mind when planning.

A real homestay experience! Simple, cozy, and you feel right at home. The hosts are very warm and it's so easy to chat with them. Plus, it's only a 20 to 25-minute trip to Brussels center by public transport!

Nice and quiet location near the park. Patricia was very kind and helpfull. I didn't have the time to use it but the little garden looked very pleasant. Comfortable that you can park your car close to the house. Breakfast was ok.

The toiletroom downstairs (especially not easy at night). A shared bathroom is not a problem for me but would feel more comfortable with a key at he door when I realised there was another guest at the same time. The house is a bit noisy because of light walls and doors.
