O'Myosotis - 400m Centre Historique - Parking Gratuit - Piscine et Jardin

We very much enjoyed our stay at O-Myosotis for two nights. Claudine and Patrick were exceptional hosts and their home is lovely with large bedrooms and baths. They have an extensive garden with a swimming pool that we did not have enough time to enjoy. This is a new home and Claudine has decorated it beautifully with lovely and fun touches. She had handpicked the hardware for the new bathrooms, doors, skylight windows with shades that open automatically for fresh air. It's a little bit longer of a walk to the medieval town but certainly doable and we are in our mid to late 70's. They have free parking directly in front of their home that is most convenient. Guests were welcome in the downstairs living area by the kitchen and in the garden but we were always so tired from the days activities, that we only enjoyed for breakfast. Breakfast was a feast - eggs prepared as you like them, bacon or ham, yogurt, fresh fruit, cheese, croissant, banana smoothies. Claudine speaks lovely English. There are 4 rooms I believe and some guests were French, others were Australian and Americans. I would definitely recommend their generous and kind hospitality.

I chose O’Myosotis because of it’s peaceful & quiet location & yet, it’s close, walking distance proximity to Sarlat centre. I liked the fact that it had a lovely garden & a swimming pool, for relaxing days, just doing nothing.

There is NOTHING to dislike whatsoever!! (I would have put some lovely, relaxing photos on of relaxing in the garden by the pool & the beautiful Breakfast & our Bedroom, but my phone wouldn’t Link it properly - not O’Myosotis’ fault - it’s something to do with my Phone & Booking.com’s link - but everything WAS absolutely perfect.)

We had the most wonderful stay with Claudine and Patrick and truly couldn’t recommend their B&B more! From the moment we arrived, we received the warmest welcome. Claudine and Patrick are absolutely wonderful hosts: incredibly kind, attentive and helpful. They took the time to show us around the entire property, which is simply beautiful. Everything was spotless, perfectly maintained and clearly cared for with so much love. The garden is absolutely stunning, and having such a beautiful swimming pool available for guests made it even more special! Our room was huge, bright and incredibly comfortable, with a wonderful bed that was perfect after long days exploring the area. The bathroom was also very spacious, with a great shower and everything we could possibly need. And then there was breakfast! Everything was homemade by Claudine and Patrick, fresh and absolutely delicious. They had thought of everything we could possibly want and more! It was such a lovely way to start each morning. This is truly the perfect place to stay while discovering Sarlat and everything the beautiful Périgord Noir has to offer. The property itself is wonderful, but what made our stay especially memorable was the warmth and hospitality of Claudine and Patrick. We will never forget our time here and sincerely hope we have the chance to come back one day. Thank you so much, Claudine and Patrick! Everything was perfect!

The ability to park outside the property and earlier than the check in was amazing. The location of this stay was perfect quietly located just outside of the town which is walkable to the town. The town was friendly, accessible with everything you would want. The venue was spotlessly clean and immaculately presented. The gardens and swimming pool is a lovely space and the outside seating area of which there are multiple were beautiful and very well considered.

Whilst we recognise that this property clearly prides itself on detail it was a disappointment that we did not have some of the basics which included basic toiletries hand/body wash in the bathroom, plus no toilet roll holder, but themed items which are not required. no tea and coffee facilities in the room whilst we recognise that there was in a communal area whilst we stayed this was used as an office so not that welcoming. We were aware there was no air con at booking but staying in other places it was naturally cooler, but our room was in the roof, this room should have air con or consider putting your guests lower as this was unbearable at times And we were not able to sleep, when mentioned we were told we are in the Périgord and this is not helpful. Please note we did not know this room was in the roof. Whilst we fed this back the proprietor said you were aware of this when booking. We had an issue of having paid for three nights having to leave one day early which was our issue. However although we had paid we could leave our car outside of the property but we had to give our key back by 10am. There was no offer to use the property for which we had paid for. This was not expected but as we did not wish to engage in an argument we accepted it and left. The only comment from the proprietor was if you want a refund then contact booking.com we didn’t and hadn’t requested this but it would have been nice to have the consideration about us that has been put into the details of the property. Overall on a holiday which consisted of four stops this was the most disappointing and the most expensive. It is a family who work hard and we were told that and can see that but we did not feel the welcome that they spoke of and told us of.
