Unfair standards.

The house was nice and big

We were told to stay in another property 2 weeks before our stay. We were then moved to a house in Hexthorpe which the area was not great compared to Intake. While the house was nice and clean, the showers were terrible - one would turn hot and cold all the time and the other We had to use the hand held. Upon requesting help, we were told a plumber came but the problem didn't resolve. When communicating with the property manager, she simply ignored us. As a customer returning for the third time, this was very disappointing experience.

Pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Stool in the front bedroom, the legs need tightened. neither spoilt our stay.

An excellent stay at the Homestead 😃👍

What a fantastic little house. Extremely clean on arrival with a nice enclosed rear garden. A must for us with the dogs. The bed linen was very comfortable and the little arrivals pack with the bread and milk etc was a lovely touch. Thanks for having us and we will be back here again when we visit family. Location was perfect for close proximity to town. The blackout curtains as well as the blinds were great as they did block out the light in the bedrooms.

The only negative points I can think of is the garden needed mowing and all the bins were full. I did put the relevant ones out for emptying on the Friday. Would help if others who stay here would do the same.

The house was immaculate, extremely homely, all the essentials included. Sarah was great with replying to messages and accommodating. The beds were especially comfortable. We could not fault the property, we have booked one of their other properties already for next year.

Great family holiday, enjoyed our stay and would definately book again if in the area

Everything was great, lovely room decor in all the rooms, rooms nice and airy, shower was a good size, kitchen was well equipped, hair dryer was missing so host immediately ordered a new one and it was delivered the next day,

Had problem with the tv contacted hosts, they were brilliant, very thorough and patient at explaining to us how to solve the problem, was on phone for 20 minutes host was brilliant throughout

My worst experience with homestead houses!

Everything else was fine.

The stay was fine but the owner is the one who is horrible accusing us of leaving the house in a very bad stage,apparently you have to clean the house before you leave even though you pay for cleaning fee she tries by all means to cut off your deposit fee,taking pictures of the most simplest thing you left in the house even a box o soap and perfume saying that you did not make the bed or you spill spice on the floor even lieing that you pooed on the floor. This was the worst experience I ever came across first time and I have been with booking.com for countless years I will never ever book her houses ever!!!

Ideal base for a family visit to nearby Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

It was a lovely surprise to find milk, butter, cereal and bread in the kitchen. We arrived so late at night that this made a real difference to our stay. The beds were so comfortable, and all the bedding and towels etc were top quality. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed, including plastic crockery for children. It felt like a family home that had been stripped back, but had kept the essentials to make this a very comfortable place to stay.

These are tiny things: The cushions for the outdoor seating are in the table outside, not in the airing cupboard as your instructions say. We found them in the end! We weren't sure if it was expected of us to put the bins out in the street as we were there on bin day - Friday. The bins in the alley way were quite full. Oh, and we all prefer thinner pillows. The ones you provide are super puffed up! The spare ones on the wardrobe were better for us.

House was very clean & comfortable. Bedding & towels provided. Owners had left a lovely welcome package, which was really helpful & of good quality. Overall communication from the owner was fabulous; very important when you're travelling as a family over quite a long distance 👍
