Grete’s Hof is a former farmstead featuring a large house, a barn, and a spacious garden with an unobstructed view across the meadows toward Worpswede. Here you’ll find that special, incredibly vast sky with indescribably beautiful sunrises—a sight that has long drawn numerous painters to this region. By spring 2017, the house had been extensively renovated with great attention to detail. The result is a vacation home featuring a large entry hall, two double bedrooms, the “Grüne Stube” with a daybed and two small rooms, a cozy kitchen, two bathrooms, and a separate restroom.
Gretes Hof Vacation Home:
There is sleeping space for up to 7 adults, plus a shorter bed (1.80 m long) and a crib. There are 5 bedrooms: The farmhouse bedroom with a double bed (and satellite TV), the garden bedroom with two single beds pushed together, the green parlor with a daybed (converts to a double bed, width 1.60 m), the servants’ room with a single bed (mattress 100x200 cm). The washing machine is located behind a curtain in the servant’s room. The small room has a shorter single bed (mattress 90x180 cm) and a crib (60x120 cm). The vacation apartment features a bathroom with a bathtub and heated floors, including a toilet; a shower room with heated floors but no toilet; and a separate restroom. Large living room with an old wooden beam ceiling, a dining table for up to 8 people, a sofa area with satellite TV, a piano (unfortunately not currently tuned), a fully equipped new kitchen with all modern conveniences, an extendable dining table with 4 chairs, and Wi-Fi.
150 square meters of living space, first floor, main entrance on Muskaustraße and side entrance to the courtyard, 700 square meters of garden with lawn and flower beds, sheltered courtyard between the house and the barn (approx. 50 square meters), dogs are welcome (maximum of two). Two covered, rustic outdoor seating areas, one of which features a straw seating area, patio furniture, a parasol, and sun loungers; barbecue; for children: sandbox with toys, double swing, two pedal tractors with trailers; there is a ping-pong table under the covered outdoor seating area, providing a place to play even when it rains. A high chair is available
. Secure bicycle storage (lockable) and parking are available. There are two bicycles available for rent.
Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and check-out is from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
