A very cosy and stylish cottage in a great + convenient location with beautiful surroundings. My children particularly loved the horses in the next field, that came to say hello each day :)

The cottage itself has a lovely, cosy feel and offered plenty of space for our family of four. The beds and sofas were very comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the garden swing and seeing the friendly horses. Additionally, the property is situated in a beautiful rural setting with many excellent places to eat

However, we experienced a major issue with cleanliness. Upon arrival, we found dirty tea towels left in the washing machine, a dirty microwave, and general grime throughout most of the cottage and its appliances. We even found three used plastic bottles alongside a dirty cotton swab in an upstairs drawer. The outdated oven also presented a significant problem; it constantly timed out, making it nearly impossible to cook efficiently. When we phoned the hosts for assistance, they informed us they did not know how to work it either. Follow-up calls went unanswered, and a voicemail we left received no response. Because of this, we were forced to eat out for the rest of the week. While the hosts seemed like nice people, much better communication was expected. Furthermore, the garden was unkempt and messy, mirroring the rest of the property which feels poorly maintained. The on-site cabin was a nice space but ultimately useless for sleeping due to extreme heat. Lastly, we suggest providing basic arrival amenities like tea bags and sugar, as the documentation implied these would be provided. Overall, a much higher standard of cleaning and maintenance is required to prevent spoiling what could be a wonderful property.
