Forte São João Villas da Praia

The villa was bigger than expected and was plenty of room for our group of 12, it had everything that you needed. The rooms were all a really good size. The view was amazing looking right out on the beach and

The WiFi did not work the whole time we was there, which meant we couldn’t watch tv as you have to connect it to WiFi to use. We asked at reception for someone to come and sort it out, which they did send a maintenance man out within about 10 minutes, he tried to fix it and couldn’t and said he would be back and never turned back up.

The location and the view are excellent. Distribution of the rooms two downstairs (pool level), one goundfloor (kitchen & living room level) and two masters upstairs, was perfect for our 2 families with children/teens.

There was nothing really to dislike. Just to say something would say overlooked by the neighbours, but didn’t bother us.

Nice location, spacious property with swimming pool(though we couldn’t use it because of the cold weather) and beach view

1) Checkin was at a different location which was one of their hotels. Our checkin was delayed by 1 hour due to delay in cleaning the house. We had to wait at the lobby after a tiring day of driving. As a compensation, they offered a free dinner for us for 1 night in their restaurant. 2) The property was advertised on Booking.com as including working internet and TV, yet there was no internet throughout our stay which is basic essential services. 3) Smoke alarm battery was low and kept chirping loudly for 1 whole night. This was rectified the second day upon complaining however this could have been a safety issue. 4) It was also mentioned that the outdoor pool would be heated throughout our entire stay but the heating was not good enough and the water was very cold to enter 5) Due to rain on 2nd and 3rd day of our stay, the ground floor bathroom started leaking. Due to not having a mirror in the bedroom, all our accessories/pouches and expensive makeup stuffs were in the bathroom which got completely wet and destroyed. We had a loss of around 200 euros due to this. We officially raised a complaint while checking out of the property asking for compensation for the loss and our bad experience but haven’t heard anything yet from them.
