Byurakan Guesthouse & Cottage

Lovely family owned guest house / cottage, super friendly people, always eager to help with any questions or needs. I felt warmly welcomed and taken care of. Would definitely recommend. No doubt I’m coming back in summer.

Amazing building with and incredible view and breakfast

The guesthouse is simple but very cozy. Great value for money. The location is convenient – about a 45-minute drive to Lake Kari, and also a good base for hiking Mount Aragats. From the balcony, there’s a stunning view of Mount Ararat. The hosts are very friendly and helpful – they arranged a taxi for Aragats and also told us when the bus from Byurakan to Yerevan leaves. I also ordered breakfast and dinner, and the homemade Armenian dishes were delicious.

They were kind. I was feeling cold at night. They did not have anu heater so they gave me 2 extra blankets. I liked their cherry garden.

Description of private bathroom was misleading. It was actually outside the room. We changed to a room with ensuite bathroom and had to pay more. Toilet not flushing well. You have to wait long for cistern to refill. Breakfast so so. No place to hang clothes. Hair dryer quite old. Only one setting. Basically no facilities. Better stay in city area for the price we paid.
