Détente

The location was brilliant. Was slightly concerned at first being over the main strip but all the shops were closed by 11pm and there was no real noise. There was a Spar, a bakery and a bar all within 10 metres and our teenage daughter loved being able to start shopping or buy an ice cream as soon as she walked out of the door. It was a only a 5 minute walk to the main square with lots of good restaurants and bars and we spent most of our days on the clean sandy beach just across the road from the restaurants. The main bus stop was less than 5 minutes away and it was only 2 euro each return travel to Beziers which was well worth the trip. The owner didn't speak English but he was quick to respond when we accidentally tripped the electric. He sent pictures to show us were the fuse box was so that could flick the switch back on and checked to see all was OK. The apartment was small but had everything you needed and we were sad to have to leave it at the end of the week.

There was no door handle or lock on the bathroom but it didn't bother us. Although we warned her that the description said no WiFi it would have been nice for the teenager. We were told in advance to bring our own towels which obviously took up baggage space. Was disappointed by the beach bar that wanted to charge 16 euros for a sun lounger and wouldn't let you bring your own food to the lounger. Instead we bought beach mats from the shop.
