Fridge was a little on the small side, but we just managed.

There were a few positive aspects to our stay. There was free private parking available on the driveway directly outside the house, which was convenient. The property was equipped with the basic amenities needed for cooking and washing, and complimentary tea and coffee were provided, which was a nice touch. The lower-level living areas also appeared to be well cleaned and dusted.

The property is in need of significant updating and overall felt very tired. The microwave was not usable as it was both dirty and rusty. The bathroom had an extremely old shower, and as we were told to limit electricity use to £5 per day, we chose to shower at my mum's house rather than use the one at the property. We also had to wash all of the dishes, pots, cups and cutlery before using them because they were dirty, not just minor either, there was literally a filthy spoon in the drawer with dried food stuck all over it. Outside, there was a large pile of cigarette butts in the drain in the back yard when we arrived, which clearly hadn't been cleaned away. I messaged the owner as soon as we arrived to make them aware of these issues, as I wanted it to be clear that they were present before our stay. They replied that they would speak to the cleaners, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. This was particularly disappointing as we had paid an additional fee for early check-in at 2:00 pm instead of the standard 4:00 pm.
