Wonderful house

Beautiful spacious house, with comfortable beds and good quality bedding.

The stairs have very narrow steps and I would prefer the pricing to be more upfront rather than lots of additional costs.

Pleasant, quiet and unique

The house is located in a very quiet neighbourhood with nice views. The private parking space can take at least four cars and has two covered parking spaces. The house is classic, cozy and big.

We stayed in a cold weekend and as the house is not well-insulated it was difficult to get all the rooms warm. There was also not that much toiletpaper available so I recommend taking it yourself or buying it in the supermarket around the corner.

The house was a delight and we would all come back to stay if we visit Belgium again!

The house had a shop close by and was only a 10 minute drive to the motorway or the selection of main food shops and town. The house is beautiful, very cosy but also so much space. Beds were really comfy and the bathroom was a great size. Garden is equally as beautiful with plenty of outside sitting, along with the chickens and also the play area for the children. Each room was equipped with what was needed and more.

The kitchen is a little outdated except for the oven although everything is well equipped including so many plates, cups and glasses which is handy when the dishwasher was on. Would maybe be handy for the freezer to be in the kitchen instead of the basement but again only a minor preference.

Lived up (and more) to our expectations and if asked whether we'll stay there again - YES !!

The house have so much character ... a perfect base to explore from, but also to enjoy an evening, weather permitting, sitting outside and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house is a quick 4-5 min walking distance from shops and the quaint town centre. Loved the bathroom :-) We as a family rate a clean house even higher than most factors and this crossed all the t's .. Thanks Luc !!

The stairs (small steps) takes some getting used to (even for someone used to Dutch stairs) but keep one hand on the rail and you're good ;-)

A lovely stay in the country, near the coast, at a house with a soul

We enjoyed our stay. The house is from the 1880s, used to belong to a brewer's family, it has period interior decor pieces, such as marble fireplaces and vintage mirrors. Atmospheric. We had a view from our bedroom window on a field with sun coming in in the morning. The two master bedrooms (with four poster-beds) each have a marble sink, which was convenient, if you are in larger company. The backyard is ok; the playground amenities provided enjoyment for kids. A great bonus are three chicken raised on the grounds of the property. Each morning, we would get at least 2 eggs. It was a short walk to the baker's (good bread) and the butcher's shop (excellent). Just 1,5 km away is a wonderful Poeke Castle - an obvious destination for walks. Last but not least, the owner is v. nice.

We wish the house were closer to the beach :) In all seriousness, apart from a thought that the kitchen would benefit from some refreshing (a servants' quarter?), we recommend this delightful destination.

Classic well located house

Friendly, correct hosts. Spacious renovated house with character. Lovely terrace. 5 min walk from Domein van Poeke Kasteel(V nice park). Good local supermarket and frites shop. Both motorway and mainline train station within 10 min drive. Good wifi.

Basic kitchen. Fly screens do not fit properly. Extra surcharge for bedding & towels.

L'aménagement de la location et la déco faite avec beaucoup de goût. Le grand jardin et les équipements qui nous permettent de nous sentir comme à la maison.

Top weekend gehad op een fantastische locatie!

Het ruim opgezette huis met een diverse verzameling aan leefruimtes was ideaal. Ook de tuin is ruim opgezet en de aanwezige tafeltennistafel en het dartbord maken dat je je nooit verveeld. De slaapkamers waren voorzien van goede bedden.

Het huis is nog niet heel goed geïsoleerd en daarom gevoelig voor warmtewisselingen. Bij koud weer kan dit resulteren in veel stookkosten, die nog achteraf betaald moeten worden.

Superbe !!

Ancienne brasserie transformée en maison avec beaucoup de goût ! Belle maison de maître avec carreaux de ciment, moulures, très jolis meubles anciens... Le charme de l'ancien avec tout le confort nécessaire : literie de très bonne qualité, la maison est très bien équipée pour s'y sentir comme à la maison. C'est également un paradis pour les enfants : de nombreux jeux de société très intéressants mis à disposition, jeu de fléchettes, table de ping-pong, aire de jeux avec balançoire et tobbogan. Il faut également souligner que la maison dispose d'un emplacement sécurisé pour les véhicules et qu'elle est parfaitement située pour visiter la région : Bruges et la côte notamment. Enfin, accueil et départ effectués par le propriétaire qui est très disponible, réactif et aimable. En conclusion, nous avons beaucoup apprécié séjourner dans cette maison pour achever notre tour de Belgique et la conseillons au plus grand nombre : familles et/ou amis !

Supergezellige en charmante woning in Aalter

Geweldig mooie accommodatie. Vlak bij Gent gelegen. Ruime kamers waarvan twee met eigen wastafel. Grote badkamer. Super mooie tuin, volledig omheind dus ideaal met hond. Ook voor de kids is er niets te kort zoals een speeltoestel in de tuin, pingpongtafel en kast vol spelletjes. Verbruikskosten ter plaatse correct afgerekend via de waarborg. Alles wat je nodig hebt voor een aangenaam verblijf was aanwezig 👌

Keuken was voorzien van alle toestellen en machines die je kon nodig hebben, maar kan hier en daar wel een upgrade gebruiken.

Ein entzückendes altes Haus mit kleinem Garten, inkl. Spielmöglichkeiten, Feuerstelle (Feuerholz gegen Extrabetrag), Terrasse, Parkplätze, in sehr ruhiger Lage. Einkaufsmöglichkeit fussläufig erreichbar. Sehr gute Ausstattung, sauber und wirklich gemütlich. Hund erlaubt.

Heerlijk weekend gehad in een prachtig en comfortabel huis :)

Het is een sfeervol huis met veel authentieke elementen. Ruimte genoeg voor iedereen en veel details aanwezig (handdoekjes, kaarsen, zeeppompjes, vaatwastabletten, etc.)

Als ik iets zou moeten noemen, dan is het dat het water in de douche en in het bad langzaam weg liep.

Parkplatz und Garten war sehr schön. Die Hühner haben das Enkelkind erfreut! Der offene Kamin war sehr schön! Die Einrichtung war sehr gediegen und passte zum schönen Erscheinungsbild des Hauses!

Die Nebenkosten, insbesondere das Gas fand ich etwas teuer!
