That at home feeling
Wonderful host who made sure we were pointed in the right direction for a glass of wine after travelling down. Lovely clean and fresh home with absolutely everything we needed for a relaxing and fun weekend. Location great for access to Poole Quay, Studlands, Swanage and a night out in Bournemouth.
We were only there for a long weekend.

Enjoyable and trouble free
The layout of the property. The quality of the kitchen equipment The comfy beds and quality of the en suite facilities
The door into the lounge needs about taking off the bottom. Other than that minor problem there was nothing to dislike

A very enjoyable stay.
Great location, friendly host, spotlessly clean. A very comfortable house with a sunny patio area. Would definitely recommend and we maybe back.

Booked for four nights, had to leave after two!
I could not find anything good about this property. we booked a four night break over Easter but there were so many issues including electrics failing, noisy neighbours, no heating, no instructions and the beds were so uncomfortable that we had to leave after just two nights. I travelled with my two teenage boys who have never complained about beds before, we have stayed in lots of hotels. They often go camping, and both said that an air bed would have been more comfortable. By the second night we were all so exhausted that we had to come home. When I spoke to the owner we agreed I would leave after two nights and she promised me a refund of one night. When we got home she refused to pay it, and she tried to blame us for the issues at the house. I contacted our booking agents who tried to help get my refund but she would not honour the offer she made. I am still chasing them, and her for this promised refund.
The garden is situated on a main road with just a fence to protect you from traffic noise, and lots of drunken young people shouting and swearing outside the garden. The location of the house is very close to what appears to be an unsafe estate. I saw vomit at the end of our path on the Saturday morning. Several of the residents nearby own aggressive looking dogs and warned my teenage boys to stay clear of them. When I walked along the harbour there were lots of very drunk young people swearing and fighting and I did not feel at all safe. The walls are very thin between this house and the neighbours, the noise from the neighbours kept us up until 2am. On our second night the lights in the main bathroom suddenly went out, we think a lightbulb blew, it was late around 11pm. Suddenly the alarm, which I was not told about went off. The host did not answer her phone and so we switched off the switch marked ‘alarm’ in the fuse box to stop the noise from disturbing the whole area. The owner then blamed us and suggested that we somehow caused the power cut. There were no instructions for the heating or the alarm in the house, the host told me the heating was super complicated and said that her plumber had recommended a new thermostat. It was freezing on our first night in this house. When we spoke about the beds, the host said to me that the bed leg needed two turns to fix it and suggested that I should have done this. Even if we had fixed the bed leg in the main bedroom, this would not have made the others more comfortable. I have stayed in lots of hotels and rented lots of houses but never had to leave early before. I am also a host and would not treat my guests in such a way.

Good
The location of the property. Lots of information about Poole and surrounding areas provided by the Host. The beds were comfortable, we have had a good sleep. We were able to see the summer fireworks from the bedroom.
There was some noise in the evening from cars and pedestrians. But guess that can't be avoided When you are in a town with events going on at the sea front.

Nice, tidy and comfortable property with plenty of eateries close by and a good base for the area
Very clean, modern and well appointed with a full kitchen with everything you would need to cook (or not!!) Good sized ground floor. Small but sheltered rear garden with plenty of seating. Bedrooms were comfortable, like the fact that every room had a TV in. Bathrooms had really good showers in. The house was well positioned for walking to Quay, the bus connections and Poole, the bus station and railway station all within a short walk. One party has slight mobility problems and it has good that we could walk on a flat area to all the facilities. Baiter Park was a good area for flat walking, we did not find the beach but we weren't looking for it! Host was very welcoming.
