Lavaux Lodge - Romantic escape with magic views!

A very charming place. We only spent one night there, but we enjoyed both the evening view and our morning coffee. We really appreciated that the kitchen was well-equipped. We used it to prepare dinner. This experience will remain a fond memory, and we hope to return here.

Keep in mind that you'll have to drive up a steep, narrow, winding road, and it takes at least 20–30 minutes to walk to nearby parts of town so we didn't go anywhere.

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time here as a family. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and very well equipped. The views are absolutely spectacular and were one of the highlights of our stay. We also spent a lot of time enjoying the garden and barbecue area, which was perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. Fabian was friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We would happily recommend this property and would love to come back in the future.

It is located up the hill, so you can expect high slopes to reach the house.

Although the house enjoys a beautiful mountain-top location, several drawbacks impacted our stay. Traffic noise from the highway below is audible at night, and the house needs repairs. The third bedroom is a small mezzanine suitable for children, so the house should be listed as 1 couple + 4 children, with one small bunk-bed room. The upstairs bathroom is cramped, the garden was unkempt, and the firepit still had ashes from previous use. The house wasn’t properly cleaned—cobwebs, scattered toys, and disorganized books made it feel like a family home occasionally rented out as-is. The poorly marked driveway makes access tricky, and I wouldn’t recommend arriving at night. For a group of six friends celebrating a 50th birthday, mismatched dishes and glasses, combined with the lack of cleanliness, fell short of expectations.
